Let's Go Bowling!

Instead of mostly every game on New Years Day, the casual sports fan must now wade through three weeks of bowl games and hope you can catch maybe one or two that will remain with you until the next bowl season comes around. This year might not produce the greatest bowl game ever, but here are seven bowl games that you must tune into.

Heisman Heist

This Saturday a new Heisman Trophy winner will be crowned. Last year, I was disappointed because the media selected a candidate based on his team's performance rather than Troy Smith's individual play. This year, I will be disappointed because the media will decide to give the title to the most impressive player in the BCS.

While the national media may throw out logic, AccuScore analysis Wailele Sallas soundly lists the nation's top seven players in this week's edition of 7 in '07.

Bowling Anyone?

Finally, after this week, college football fans will get a chance to breath. The public will no longer have to worry about upsets, rankings or Notre Dame. Thanks to the partiy that has consumed college football, uncertainty will still be in charge however, as for the first time since the BCS' inception in 1998, there are no real big bowl games set up. In fact, only 9 of the 64 bowl game openings have been filled. AccuScore analyst Wailele Sallas helps clear the path predicting who'll go to the five BCS Bowl games, including two others in this week's edition of 7 in '07.

The College Football Pop Quiz

Pop quiz hot shot. The College football season is almost over and it is time to see if you have been paying attention. For this week's 7 in '07, AccuScore analyst Wailele Sallas asks some questions to see if you realize what's at stake, what has occured, and what is on the horizon.

Best College Football Rivalries...

This week, Michigan and Ohio State lock up in the best rivalry in collge football, or is it. This week's 7 in '07 knocks out the seven best rivalries in college football. Did your team make the list, which team rules its rivalry? It's all here.

Ohio State...Number 1?

Sanity returned to college football this past week. For the first time in three weeks, number 2 did not lose, although it was close. For the first time this season college football fans did not have to call their buddies to ask if that score was for real.

Also, what's for real, this week's Accuscore College Football Top Ten. Thanks to South Florida, USC and Virginia Tech going down, we have some newcomers in the polls.

7 in '07-Week 10 - The Rise of the Buckeye

There was no shortage of unsatisfied customers after last week's 7 in '07 blasted some of the top programs in college football. While AccuScore's Wailele Sallas licks his wounds, the College Football analyst lists seven topics that have risen to the forefront of his college football landscape.

The NBA Breakdown...in 24 seconds

The Worst College Football Fans in America

Last week, I went to the Cal-UCLA game expecting the Bears to come into the Rose Bowl and walk out with a convincing victory. Before the game I had thought Cal was one of the best teams in the country, with DeSean Jackson, one of the best players in the country. I left the game convinced this season was the spawn of Satan. I also left the game appalled with UCLA fans.

At halftime I watched as hundreds of fans left the game. The score was 14-13 Cal. What person in their right mind would leave a game at halftime, not only that, why would someone leave that early during a good game?

I was so furious I decided to dedicate this week's 7 in '07 to the worst fans in college football. I have scoured the internet, listened to personal accounts, and of course used some of my own personal biased to come up with the sorriest sack of seven in college football. And I'm not proud of it.

In no particular order:

Accuscore's Top Ten

Another week is in the books and things are still up in the air. The top teams have yet to play stiff competition and those that have, continue to beat each other up.

This week's rankings reflect everything, and then some, and yes, I went on a ledge once again. Besides, who wants to see the same ho-hum rankings that everyone else churns out?

The Revolution is Here!

Every year, like most of America, I enter a NCAA basketball pool. 2002, was a year to remember. As the tournament grinded down to 16 teams, there were 4 teams seeded 8 or lower, including two teams from mid-majors. This was the tipping point for college basketball. Where mid-majors earned the name mid-majors and teams like Southern Illinois and Gonzaga no longer were Cinderellas but rather favorites.

I remember this so vividly because the site we used to run our pool was ESPN. "The Worldwide Leader" did an unprecedented thing that year. They did a "redo," giving everyone a second chance to fill out their brackets.

This is college football's tipping point. Five years from now, ten years from now, we will remember this season as the year power programs gave up their stranglehold on non-BCS schools. We'll remember this year as the year where we can take nothing for granted. This year will go down as the year basketball schools became dual sport schools and underdogs became favorites. No longer are their sure things, and every season we'll look back at Appalachian State and Stanford and say, "This could happen."

The unimaginable has happened this year, and that's including witnessing Ohio State, South Florida and Boston College at the top of the polls. No one could have predicted this.

With this in mind, I'm giving myself a "redo," churning out 7 NEW predictions for the rest of the season, at this, the halfway point.

BCS or BS, The True Top Ten

It's that time again. The BCS polls are out and every college football fan's sphincter is tight enough to turn coal into diamonds. Accuscore college football analyst Wai Sallas takes out conference and program biased and releases a true top ten.

You've Got Questions, I've Got Answers

This college football season has brought out a ton of questions. Who is South Florida? What the heck happened at Southern Cal? Accuscore College Football Analyst Wai Sallas breaks down 7 questions that are sure to be on your mind in this wild NCAA season.
