SU versus UMass could be a big draw

For those of you that can't wait for the re-match between your Syracuse Orange and the Massachusetts Minutemen there is some very good news. You are not alone.

SU still looking for a HC for the Women's hockey team

Well, for all of us that thought athletic director Daryl Gross could get whatever he wanted we didn't know about the NCAA Women's hockey team and the fact that there are people that will say "no" to the Syracuse AD.

UNC wins rubber match against Maryland

After dropping the first game to Maryland (11-11, 2-7 in the ACC) in their three game series, North Carolina (18-4, 7-2 in the ACC) won yesterday 19 to 1 and took the rubber match from the Terrapins.

UNC looking great, the logo on floor no

All of you that watched the University of North Carolina in their first two games at the NCAA Tournament have watched about the best games you have seen from this team this season.

ACC Women's teams, Round One

As we all know there is also the Women's March Madness going on. I have done a small recap of the first round game by the Lady Heels. But there are other five teams from the Atlantic Coast Conference.

ACC teams, Round Two

In the end we have to admit this had to be a down year for the Atlantic Coast Conference. It was evident that the Selection Committee thought so, sending only four teams to the tournament.

The Lady Heels (31-2) began their run into the Women`s NCAA Tournament playing against #16 seed Bucknell (16-16) on Saturday. UNC started the game well, on a 21-2 run, coasting to a final score of 85 to 50.

The second day of Round Two was a lot kinder to the Big East teams, as two out of three teams won their games, making it to the Sweet Sixteen. That brings the total of the teams from this conference to three.

North Carolina's Spring Showcase set for April 5th

With all the hoopla that March Madness causes I've been neglecting the football team this spring. So, before I get any further behind, let me do a short blog on it, and get anyone interested caught up with some of the happenings.

UNC beats Maryland 14-1, third game today

After losing the first game to the University of Maryland (11-10, 2-6 in the ACC), the third ranked Tar Heels (17-4, 6-2 in the ACC) rallied yesterday and took home the second of a three game series against the Terrapins by the score of 14 to 1. The third game of the series is set for today at 1 p.m. EST.

SU beats Binghamton 16-2 in lacrosse

Syracuse (5-1) took on Binghamton (2-2) yesterday in lacrosse and made sure that everyone in the lax world knows that their third ranked position is no fluke by beating their guests 16 to 2.

SU wanting revenge against UMass in the NIT

Some people have wondered if this basketball team, under the tutelage of head coach Jim Boeheim, has grown. Well, this Tuesday at 7 PM EST in the Carrier Dome that question might just be answered.

Big East teams, Second Round (Day One)

The first day of the second round was not as kind to the Big East teams as the whole first round had been. Of the four teams that were on tap yesterday only one survived, in an upset, I might add.
