If you were the GM, after seeing what he did his rookie season, and all the hype he had gotten before the season, would you have given Hank Baskett an oppurtunity to ge the starting position? I mean common, he didnt even get a shot at it... after what he was able to do his rookie season, how does Omar Gaither get the start over a guy like Jeremiah Trotter who is not only a philly icon, but one of the greatist linebackers of our decade, but Hank Baskett not get the start over a guy like Reggie Brown who has trouble breaking man-to-man, and drops the ball constantly? Its a question you gotta ask yourself, so if you were the GM, would you give him the oppurtunity, and if you think he will get a chance sometime in the future, when do you think our Philadelphia Eagles Managment will finally stop sitting on good prospects, and give Hank Baskett a shot?

Of course we all know the Philadelphia Eagles fans are begging the Eagles to bring in an explosive talent at Wide Reciver this offseason, but honestly our problems go farther than that this offseason. We are still a team who utilizes the Full Back position... and with the departure of Tapeh, the Philadelphia Eagles need to address this considering the only other option is Jason Davis. Also the Eagles having Jon Runyan (34), and William thomas (33) at the starting Tackle position, while outstanding players, the organization really needs to take a look into bringing in some youth to this position sooner or later, after seeing the promise of Justice against the Giants Osi, it has become a big issue. Also some contract and cap disputes including Spikes, McDougal, and Howard.

Lorenzo Neal is the most viable option in obtaining a fullback who can make a difference on this team immediatley, and since this team seems to be on a winning now is the only option kind of offseason, Neal has made way for the NFLs most ground productive runner, LT, seeing these two (Westbrook/ Neal) in the same backfield would be a scary sight to say the least, and neal fits the system perfectly as he can catch outside of the backfield and will come at amazingly cheep price for his services, listen people.... the man still wants to play football... he still has the heart, give him the oppurtunity in Philly.

Winston Justice, did not do his draft hype, any "JUSTICE" at all..... but im not giving up on the guy, basically he got the gitters against one of the more scary DE's in the league, dosent mean he is a bust, but this certainly dosent give him a free pass, the boy needs to prove he is worth keeping on this team, i still believe he would make for a great Guard in the league but with the emergence of Max Jean-Gilles, i think Winston could jus be future trade bait. Tackle however is not a position i want to address in the first round i believe there is a Tackle you can obtain in the second round named Gosder Cherilus, this man is a behemoth, and i think he could learn alot sitting behind two of the best Tackles in the league and become a disturbing force on the line.

And Lastly Takeo Spikes is due to account for 5million this season against the Eagles cap. Is the man expendable with the showing of Stewart Bradley, It would make for interesting talk of him being traded with the big contract signing of one Asante Samuel. Also against the cap for no good reason, Jerome Mcdougal and Darren Howard, especially with prospect Abiamiri and the signing of Clemons from the Raiders, are McDougal and Howard expendable? These are questions that will be answered sooner or later this season, probably during training camp.

Now that we have signed Asante Samuel to a long term contract, it has been openly stated he will be the stating left corner. Now many speculating rumors have been spread about the departure of Pro Bowl cornerback Lito Sheppard. Lito over the years has been injury plagued, and even in games he has started playing time has been scarce for Lito. With all that being said, had Samuel not been signed, Lito would be the projected starter over brown, right? So why in the world would Eagles fans be so eager to trade Lito Sheppard who is a top corner for a player like Larry Fitzgerald? Is it fair sure if the Cards would take it, but i believe that Brown is regarded higher by other teams as a rising player and would demand more respect in a trade than Lito, also Lito is not only a better protype of corner for the eagles defense along side Samuel who the same size as sheldon so you give yourself some variety, but he is jus a bigger ball hawk. Speaking to Cards fans, they like sheldon more than Lito, and would be more willing to trade Fitz for Sheldon. Listen people, Lito Sheppard is one of the eagles premier players, the man is grossly underpayed and when healthey is a top 5 corner.

Kevin Curtis is a 1000 yard WR, and there is also speculation that he should be put in the slot position, i think this is rediculous, considering the eagles dont use slot recivers, we are one of the few teams still utilizing the FB position. If i were a head coach i would want Kevin out there on every play because if you watched his season the guy is a complete beast, Reggie Brown however is expendable, a second round bust, this guy cannot get open, couldn't shed a man coverage if he tryed his hardest, and lacks speed. I believe the cards would value him though, losing fitz and johnson, they need WR help, So i say put these two players in a package that brings the young talented Fitzgerald who the Cards cannot afford no matter how many times you tell me it can happen, they are 2 mil over the cap and have to pay the man 19 mil next season. Package Sheldon Brown, Reggie Brown, and throw in a second or first round pick, and i believe this team can get the player the truly need. Eagles fans, if u read this sorry for the long read but tell me what you think.
