Okay let's address the bandwagon issue with Boston fans…am I or aren't I? What really makes a band Wagoner?
In reaction to an article posted earlier on Boston bandwagon fans I do not know the entire starting line-up from last year. PP and West were in there, some other guys if I heard their names I could pick them out, only because my boyfriend has been a fan forever. I have no idea what number
Antoine Walker wore, nor do I even know who he is. Should I?
So let's see, here's my situation, let me know if I'm for real or not… I started watching the C's on regular basis in the fall of '07. I became a fan on accident really. I'm from VT, but live in NJ so we unfortunately can only watch NY/NJ teams. Because my bf is an avid Celtics fan he bought the league pass so we could watch every game. At first I was a little upset, do you know how many games they play each year????
Knowing how much a fan my bf is, I bought us floor tickets to the Celtics, Cavs game in December (which Lebron did not play in, and I'm still a little bitter about it, I spent a lot on those tickets!). Before actually watching the C's live I was really starting to like Rondo. But this courtside experience changed it all for me. I fell in love. With the players, the action, the court, the fans, the whole experience. I watched because I loved it, not because I thought they were going to be world champions or because they had the Big 3. Honestly I didn't even really like PP at the time (I love him now don't worry). I have become a huge fan of Rondo's, sport something of his every time they play, I blog daily, I go to his website daily, I should be working right now but Im waiting for Rondo's question so I can win myself a damn headband! I probably know more about the Celtic's NOW, then my boyfriend does. (He can cover the last oh 25 years).
Win or lose in this finals I will continue being in love with this basketball team.
So I ask… am I on the bandwagon or the real one?
