Boldin to Philly Lito and pick to Zona

The Philadelphia Eagles were not available for comment as of 10:13 P.M. Monday night as to the situation of Arizona Cardinals pro bowl wide receiver Anquon Boldin demanding a trade. The Birds had better make this move quickly and butter up Arizona's palms with a fourth round pick or so and try to push Lito Shepherd with the deal, because Dallas is aready calling as well. Source Comcast Sports and Philadephia News. Personal opinion, if they pull this off the Birds are "Front Runners" for the division, pun intended J-Roll.

A.J. Burnett to Phillies!!!

Pat Gillick is working hard to push this through by the weekend in hopes of landing Toronto's A.J. Burnett. Burnett who's last two starts have been all of awful with 19 hits and 15 runs could maybe get fresh life with a team that's roller coastering right now and having the Mets and Marlins breathing down their necks when then all star break is over. These are the next two series the Phils are about to play and that's why Pat Gillick is trying to pull this off by this weekend. Toronto wants Jason Donald and Greg Olson from the Phils Double A farm league and the Phils are good with that, but Toronto also wants Carlos Carrasco or the soon to be Carlos Ruiz replacement at catcher Lou Marson. The Phillies don't want either to leave but I believe they would give up Carrasco first if they knew A.J. Burrentt would not use his opt out clause at the end of the season. Pat get it done we really need the help no thanks to the Brett Myers meltdown.

It's Elton Brand Mike Miller and Randy Foye to Sixer= Championship?

In about three hours my article will be old news but for now its new news. Sixer fans it's Elton Brand , Mike Miller, and Villanova's own Randy Foye for Rodney Carney and a future first round pick and Calvin Booth. So we get the power forward and the shooter does this mean Championship. Let me know your views!!! i know that Mike Miller was traded on July 1st and happy to be back in Minn. but first round picks as us Eagle fans know from this years draft are hard to pass so Sixers play hard and win!!!

Brett Myers to the Minors

Phillies starting pitcher and opening day starter Brett Myers was sent to the minor league triple A farm system in Allentown Pa. The Lehigh Valley Iron Pigs will start Brett on next Wends. to keep him in a starting rotation mode. Brett had to agree with the move because the collective bargaining agreement said that players with 5 years or more had to agree to a drop from the Major League. Charlie doesn't want to give up on Brett just yet but in the same breathe they are shopping him around to teams such as Cleveland for CC Sabathia with a package of Carlos Carassco, and Jason Donald and Cleveland had no intrest in them. If the Phils are to compete for a Championship Brett was a big part of that so if he's not playing for them and no one is intrested in the players they are offering then the Phils better rethink who they will give up for Pitching Caliber of Sabathia.

Eagles working out reciever Rodgers

Not a big fan of has beens, but not a bigger fan of never was. That's my view of the Birds bringing in former Detroit first round pick of 2003 Charles Rodgers. Rodgers had a verbal agreement with the Montreal Alouettes Canadian Football League last month, but never signed a contract and did not attend training camp that started on May 29th. He has already worked out with the Minnesota Vikings on June 16th so if Brad Childress gave him a look Andy figures he had better give him a look as well. Now not to take any thing away from the old superstition that new teams might build better players especially considring Rodgers had to play on Detroit for four of his years of pro football. He is injury prone with two collar bone surgeries, but if the 6'3" 220 reciever can make the grade with Donnie Mac I'm all for giving him a chance. Rodgers will be at the Nova Care Center by this weekend so hopefully the Philly press won't over pressure him to much. Good Luck Charles maybe we'll see you in midnight green!!!

"Final Puzzle Piece" Bedard, Burnett, or Maddox Choose Phillies Fans!!!

All we kept hearing for the last three years was infield players and bull pen pitchers here in the city of Brotherly Love. Those needs were addressed by either through free agency, trades and with dumb luck. We have brought in from first to third base a group of talent that is not just slug percenatges, but defensive players as well. Two of which are back to back MVPs and possibly a third in the waiting. As for home plate we have an every day player in Ruiz that is admiralbe at best, but with a back up thats 35 years old and knocking around other teams pichers like he's a life long Major League ball player in Coste. The outfield is set with Pat the Bat in left, Shane Victorino in center, and Geoff Jenkins in right who when he is healthy might be replaced with Jayson Werth. The back of the bull pen is soild with guys named Romero, Gordon, Durbin, and Lidge. So now phillies fans it is time to bring in the final piece to solidify this team. We have an Ace every fifth start. Why not bring in a second? Lets go for the ring this year and make an end all trade for at least this season and if we win then maybe a couple more.

Lots of rumors going around about the Mariners and Phils talking about trading for Eric Bedard. The 4- 4 pitcher has an Era of 4.26 with 54 strike outs and wants out if Seattle gets some goods in return. I like this trade and it would be a real contender in line for the phils winning the championship. The other two maybe trades are with the Toronto BlueJays for A.J. Burnett which will cost the Phils 11 million a season for his services and the only way we'll see him in red and white is if Toronto is out of the race according to sorces in Toronto's organization. The Last and maybe about 70% chance is Greg Maddox, who is 3-4 record and a 3.48 Era with 42 strikeouts. To get him we would not have to mortgage our team but I don't know if we need anouther Jamie Moyer unless he can be as productive as Moyer has been for us. Also Maddox said he will waive his no trade clause if it's with a National league team which again helps us out in that department.

So what do we give up to get any of these starters to lead us to our second title and breaking "Billy" Penn's curse? In the pitching department it's between J.A. Happ, Ryan Madson, Francisco Rosario, Mike Zagurski, and the one up and comer all teams want Carlos Carasco, ranked number 41 on baseballs premeir rookies. Infielders is a shorter list. Eric Bruntlett, Brad Harman, and Oscar Robles. If none of those gets it done how about a couple of outfielders to sweeten the deal, they are T.J. Bohn, So Taguchi, Jayson Werth, and Geoff Jenkins. Now I'm now GM but I think Pitchers Ryan Madson, Carlos Carsco, and yes Phillies fans Jayson Werth with a pick or two could get Bedard or Burnett and not as much for Maddox. So now that I've given you my prospective on the team for a final puzzle piece let me know what you think or who you think they should get and what they should give up as well. Look forward to reading your comments!!!

Rasheed in Iggy out

Sixers GM Ed Stephanski was asked by Espn 950's Mike Misanelli if the Sixers had any intrest in bringing in Detroit's Rasheed Wallace as their power forward. Ed said because of contracts that he is not allowed to express or intice his opinion on Rasheed so Mike asked it in a question that Ed could answer. He asked if Rasheed could be tendered by Joe Dumars since he was on the trading block would the sixers then consider him. Ed's response was absolutely! Now loking at Rasheed's numbers PPG are 13.2 RPG 6.40 and BPG 1.80. Rasheed is owed 26.2 millon over the next two years and Iggy is a restricted free agent that after the very poor playoff performance in the view of sixer fans good bye and good reidence. In the view of Mike Misanelli Joe Dumars is fed up with Rasheed's locker room behavior and playoff behavior as well, so that is why he is on the trading block. My own personal view is that I hope Rasheed is not anouther Chris Webber in Philly trade. I also think that with the sixer's having about 17 million to play with this year that 13 is alot to go to one person at the age of 34. Also for those of you that want Eldon Brant as your power forward, he is owed 16 million so unless he takes less in my best South Philly accent "forgetaboutit!"

Ray Diddinger says Chad 30% Eagle

On June &th around 10:08 am Saturday morning Hall of Fame Writer and weekend 610 jockey Ray Diddinger said reports from his people in the NFL rumorville was that Chad Johnson is not the "Not Tradeable" reciever that Marvin Lewis and the Bengals organization would lead you to believe. Ray said that Marvin Lewis is very strongly considering cutting his losses with Chad, as not to have his hold out or not hold out disrupt his training camp practices. He also went further to say that Marvin Lewis can not even afford to have a bad season this year so a trade of desparate defensive help in the form of Lito Sheppard and maybe more would not be ruled out by Lewis and the Bengals. Mandatory practices are next week for Bengals players and so far Chad says he will show which can either help or hinder a possible trade if your a Birds Fan and pending your view of both situations. I for one don't want him to show up like Lito and maybe the Eagles can kick this thing into overdrive before July!!! Thanks for dropping a dime for us Ray, Eagles fans have been starving for info like this for a while!!! 30% is a lot better than 0% a month ago and means that the Bengals and Birds are talking atleast about a trade!!
