1.
Randy Moss,
New England PatriotsReason: Breaking Jerry Rice's record in 2007 by catching 23 touchdown passes and having almost 1500 yards recieving makes him the most lethal reciever this year, and with the loss of Donte Stallworth will only mean more balls thrown his way.
2.
Terrell Owens,
Dallas CowboysReason: TO had a more productive year in 2007 than he did in 2004 when he made his Superbowl run with the
Philadelphia Eagles, and as long as TO dosent complain about getting a new contract he should produce around the same numbers.
3.
Larry Fitzgerald,
Arizona CardinalsReason: Fitz had 100 receptions and a 1000 yard season, and thats with
Anquan Boldin across from him. I look for Fitz's numbers to be around the same if Matt Leinhart is throwing the ball.
4.
Reggie Wayne,
Indianapolis ColtsReason: Wayne's best season of his carreer came in 2007, but many people over look the fact that the ball was thrown his way more because
Marvin Harrison was out with knee problems. With Harrison back Wayne will go back to being the number two reciever but will still put up big numbers.
5.
Braylon Edwards,
Cleveland BrownsReason: Edwards breakout season in 2007 with 16 TD's was astounding. With a more in-tune offense I expect
Braylon Edwards to have a pro bowl season.
6. T.J. Houshmandzadeh, Cincinatti Bengals
Reason: TJ tied for the reception lead along with
Wes Welker. With Ocho-Cinco being the distraction that he is I think that
Carson Palmer will give the ball more to TJ and he will have a pro bowl season.
7.
Andre Johnson,
Houston TexansReason: This will be Johnson's breakout year. I predict Johnson to have 80 receptions for 1000 plus yards and thirteen touchdowns. He also can get your team points in the return game.
8. Marques Colston,
New Orleans SaintsReason: After the saints dissapointing 2007 season I look for their offense to explode like it did in 2006, with Colston catching double digit touchdown balls.
9. Chad Johnson, Cincinatti Bengals
Reason: What I love about Chad Johnson is that he has a 90 receptions and 1400 yards and then goes on and completely freaks out in the post-season. I expect Chad to come back and be the dominant reciever he was.
10.
Plaxico Burress,
New York GiantsReason: He had a 1000 season, 13 touchdowns, and three 100 yard games. I see Plax producing more than ever this year with
Amani Toomer and the decline and Eli Mannning on the rise.
11.
Wes Welker,
New England PatriotsReason: While
Randy Moss might be the single season touchdown record holder,
Wes Welker is the key to the Patriots offense. I think that he'll step it up to 10 plus touchdowns and a twelve-thousand yard season.
12.
Bobby Engram,
Seattle SeahawksReason: He is a consistent game to game performer that will always produce points for your team.
13.
Santonio Holmes,
Pittsburgh SteelersReason: With
Hines Ward in the second half of his carreer in Pittsburgh I look for the Steelers to really incorperate Holmes into their offense and make him more than just a deep-threat.
14. Steve Smith,
Carolina PanthersReason: He has the tendancy to disappear at key times and through three quarterbacks in 2007 he still managed to pull a 1000 yard season out of his hat. Look for him to bounce back in 2008.
15.
Bernard Berrian,
Minnesota VikingsReason: Like Steve Smith Berrian had to play with many different quarterbacks in 2007 but playing in Minnesotta will give Berrian more opprotunities to suceed.
