Sorry about the last video, had to take it down to fix it up a little bit. As I promised though, there are more coming. The one in this article is one I made of Logan Tom, the USA Volleyball player. She played at Stanford as well where she led her team to a national championship in 2001. I didn't get to see her play while she was there and I have yet to see her play in person but she is an amazing player. Hope you like this one...it's best if you view it full screen by the way. For some reason, it made the pictures tiny.
There is also a Diana Taurasi video that I just finished. I had it up for a short while but had to fix that one as well. Same as the other one, I hope you enjoy this video as well.
This'll be my intro I guess. I'm Katie, I live in San Jose, California...for now. I'm really big into sports and I have my dad to thank for that. He started bringing me to Stanford baseball games when I was younger then it changed to the women's basketball team. After that, it's spread to volleyball, softball and the WNBA. My dad's been my basketball buddy though. Going to see Stanford play was our bond. Even though he's not here anymore, I know he's still there watching with me. Through watching Stanford, I began watching UConn as well. UConn is another favorite, even when they are matched up against each other. There have been a lot of great players to go through that program.
I also became friends with a pitcher that played at Cal so my parents made fun of me constantly for liking both Stanford and Cal.Oh well...it was two different sports. I kind of lost touch with her since she's playing in Chicago now in the NPF. She's definitely different from the other pitchers (See picture).
Eventually I want to get into sports marketing. I've just started making video/slideshows and have gone crazy with it. I'll work on posting them. The one I have on this post is a review of this past years Stanford women's basketball team. They surpassed everyone's expectations, even some of their own fans. Beating Tennessee and going to the Final Four for the first time in 11 years, going to the championship game for the first time in 16 years. It was a pleasure watching this team, especially Candice Wiggins in the tournament. It was a bit bittersweet for me because my dad wasn't here to see it, but I'm sure he was watching from somewhere. The championship game was also played on what would've been his 54th birthday. That's something. Even though they didn't win it, it was still really cool.
