Sammie Stroughter a potential Heisman Candidate along with Yvenson Bernard can carrie the Beavs to a Pac Ten title this year! It could lie on the shoulders of Sophmore QB Sean Canfield ! Go Beavs!

Fave Players:
3B Chipper Jones, SS Edgar Renteria, SG Kevin Martin, PG Mike Bibby, SS Troy Polamalu, WR Sammie Sroughter, DH Mike Lissman
Oregon State Baseball:
2006 and 207 Back to Back National Champions! With star catcher Mitch Canham, shortstop Darwin Barney, and DH Mike Lismman from our own Ontario, Oregon! And our future in second base Joey Wong! Go Beavs!
Atlanta Braves Baseball:
Won 14 straight division titles unitil last season. We should get another one this year if Chipper stays off the DL. Chipper Jones is a beast, but Andruw Jones sucks!!! He is batting below .200 right now. Ouch! We have a young team so we should be contendors in the future!

Sacramento Trade Rumors

Back in Sac-town there has been lots of speculation of a Mike Bibby trade. And the main bidder right now would be the Cavs. They need a playmaking point guard, and Bibby could be just the right man to help Lebron win a championship. The only problem is who could the Cavs give up? Maybe Verajou and Gibson? Not likely, but could happen. Then there's Artest. It seems the T-Wolves want him if they dont trade KG. So thats a possibility. The Heat are also very interested. I think the Kings need to just dump all their vets and start over and rebuild.

Mock Draft 6/25 (NBA)

The draft will certainly be shaped out by what Atlanta choses to do with the third pick. Trade it? Draft another powerforward? Or just draft Conley? Portland's not a lock either, with Durant having a great workout. So here's my 1st round Mock Draft. Top 15 picks.

1. Portland - Greg Oden C Ohio State - You can't pass up on a guy like this. Every championship team has to have a dominating big man. So here he is Portland.

2. Seattle - Kevin Durant SF/PF Texas - Can't bench 180? So what, he's a future all star.

3. Atlanta - Al Horford PF Florida - There is the possibility of a trade, but they'll take the safe rought with Horford here.

4. Memphis - Mike Conley Jr PG Ohio State - The perfect man to give the ball to Gasol.

5. Boston - Jeff Green SF Georgetown - Should help right away, which is the only way Peirce is staying in Boston.

6. Millwauke - Brandon Wright PF UNC - Potential!!!!

7. Minnisotta - Corey Brewer SF Florida - A Scottie Pippen clone. Great guy to rebuild around.

8. Charlotte - Joakim Noah C Florida - Could slip to 10.

9. Chicago - Yi Jinlian SF China - This is a risk - win situation for Chicago.

10. Sacramento - Spencer Hawes C Washington - Sacramento loves this guy. And so does Geoff Petrie.

11. Atlanta - Javaris Crittenton G Georgia Tech

12.Phillidelphia - Al Thornton F Florida State

13. New Orleans - Julian Wright G Kansas

14. LA CLippers - Acie Law G Texas AM

15. Detroit - Nick Young G USC

Portland Trade Rumors Part 2

It has been two weeks since my last Portland Rumor post and rumors have come and gone. There was the rumor that they wanted to trade for #3 because Oden had suggested getting Conley Jr. That is still a possibility, but not very likely. The trade would be Randolph, Jack, and next years #1 to Atlanta for Josh Smith, and this yeard #3. Not likely! The Nets have also shown interest in Zach Randoph, so there is the option of a Vince Carter or Richard Jefferson deal! If anything were to happen it would most definately happen before the Draft! Heck, maybe Portland will just sign Chauncey Billups! (Yeah Right)

Durant or Oden? The Debate Just Got Heavier!!!!

Just when you think the Blazers had it all planned out to take Greg Oden in the Draft this Thursday, Oden has a crappy workout and Durant is amazing! So who will they take? You can't pass up on a Bill Walton can you? You can't pass up on a Kevin Garnett either. So who will it be? Well find out this Thoursday on ESPN!!!!!

Renteria For NL MVP?

5th in the All Star voting, Edgar Renteria is having an MVP type season. Noone is giving him nay respect. I mean come on, batting .329, 10 HR and 35 RBI's and he's 5th in the All Star Voting? He will make the All Star game if La Russa has a say in it but he deserves more respect. So go and vote for Renteria because he will be your 2007 NL MVP!!!!!

Zabransky This Year's Colston?

You're the best quarterback for a small division one school...that means you can't be good right. Well, with Jarrod Zabransky it may be different. Lets look back to last years draft. Before the draft everyone was talking about how good the WR Marques Colston from Hofstra was going to be right? Hofstra? Where? There's no way a guy from Hofstra is going to make it in the NFL.Thats what they all said, and thats what they are all saying about Jarrod Zabransky. Comin out of high school everyone said the same things...He's too short, stares down his targets too much, not enough arm strength. Well he proved them wrong and he will do the same in the NFL. Then came NFL Draft day and he wasn't drafted. Why? Most likely cause he was from Boise State. If he was from Notre Dame or Michigan or USC he would have been a first day pick. He ran a 4.5 40. The fastest of all quarterbacks. Trust me by 2012, people will know Boise State football. Some say he could even line up at receiver or kick returner. All those teams will be hating themselves when they don't have the next Jeff Garcia on their team. By next years end Houston will be hailing Z! Z! Z! because "Z" will be their starting quarterback. Mark my words, Jarrod Zabransky is better than you think!!!!!

Dennis Dixon MLB Draft

If you haveb't already heard Dennis Dixon from the University of Oregon was drafted by the Atlanta Braves in the 5TH ROUND! Yes that's right, the 5th round. I don't know if you follow Oregon Ducks baseball. but they don't have a team. How do you get drafted in the 5th round when you are a senior starting quarterback for a school without a baseball team? They say they liked how he played in high school. He hasen't played baseball in four years for heavens sake. Well I guess you all will be laughing at me when he's starting in left field for the Atlanta Braves in 3 years.

Oregon State College Baseball Dynasty

I know most people probabaly don't follow college baseball, but we have a dynasty in the making here. They have made it to the college world series for the third straight year and are the only defending champion to make it back the next year since Texas in 2002. I truely think they will win the title this year and have legitimate players returning next year and the year following. If they happened to win this year, which they have a great chance and win next year, wouldn't they deserve to be labeled a dynasty? I sure think so. They have arguably the best coach in the counrty who turned down a highly attractive Notre Dame head coaching offer. So next time you talk about college baseball powerhouses make sure you mention oregon state!

Portland Trade Rumors

There have been many rumors that the Blazers are looking to trade for another 2007 NBA Draft 1st round pick. There was the rumor that they wanted to trade for #3 because Oden had suggested getting Conley Jr. There was also the rumors about Zach Randolph for Kwame Brown and a first Round pick. The last I have hear is that a trade may already be done since the Blazers are working out players in the 11-20 range. The trade that "supposively" has already taken place is Jarret JAck to the Hawks for the #11 pick. I could see them taking a Thornton from FSU or Jeff Green if still available. The Blazers GM has said if any trade is done it will not be announced untill at least 48 hours before the draft. So I guess we will have to wait till then to find out.

Phillies, Braves Challenge Mets For Division Lead

Just when it looks like the Mets would run away with the division once again the Braves and Phillies stepped up to the challenge. It all started with a Phillidelphia sweeping of New York. That brought them from 9 games behind to 6. And the Braves Braves from 4.5 to 3.5. Buckle up cause your in for a ride. The Braves are a totally different team this year with one of the better bullpens in the National League. They had more than 20 blown saves last year and close to none this year. As for the Phillies, they were just horrible last year even with Ryan Howard MVP performance. Now one of the better teams in the NL.This weekend the Mets were swept by a mediocre DetroitTigers team and The Braves split a 4 game series with the Red Hot Cubs. The Mets have started a series in LA monday against the tuff Dodgers as the Braves face the Twins in Minnisota and the Pillies host the White Sox. The Braves as of Tuesday are down 2 games as the Phillies are down 4. So Don't count the Braves out yet. And deffinately dont count the Phillies out either. This could be the most intriguing division in the league besides the NL West. So get ready for some great baseball.
