Arod speaks about meeting with Yanks

Arod explains his meeting with the Yankees...

Giuliani is Benedict Arnold

I couldn't believe it till I saw it with my own eyes... Rudy Giuliani is rooting for the Red Sox! I don't care that they are in the American League. Take a poll of Yankee fans, and I would bet the house that they are all Rockies fan for the next week and half. Im pretty much speechless, he officially LOST my vote.

We Never Took You Back

I'm speaking for all Yankee fans and every other true fan when I say, "Jane, it's over. It's been over since you walked out after 50 games. Divorcing us makes you a three time loser." On May 27th Jane Heller filed for divorce from the New York Yankees, stating "The grounds for the divorce will be mental cruelty. I mean, I made a commitment to these guys, emotional and financial, and they betrayed and humiliated me by allowing the Red Sox ? the Red Sox! ? to run away with the division. When I think how I defended the Yankees to their legions of detractors, it hurts. It really hurts." At the time we were happy to see you leave. You're old and used, as you can see the were in the midst of a youth movement. I thought we made that completely obvious how aweful your comments were. Now after going 72-59 and fighting our way back into the playoffs, you want us back? Fat chance!

Rizzuto, Yankee Hall of Famer, dies at age 89

Phil Rizzuto, the Hall of Fame shortstop who went on to fame for his unique broadcasting style, died late Monday night. He was 89.

His death was confirmed by the Yankees. Rizzuto had been in declining health for several years and was living at a nursing home in West Orange, N.J.

Rizzuto, nicknamed "The Scooter," was the oldest living member of the Baseball Hall of Fame prior to his death. He was enshrined in the Hall of Fame in 1994 by the Veterans Committee.

Boston Scurred

On May 29th the Yankees (21-29) sat in last place in the AL East, 14.5 games behind the Red Sox (36-15). 67 Games later and a comeback reminiscent of 1978 the Yankees now sit 4 games out of first and tied for 4th best record in league! For those who don't want to do the math, the Yankees have played .670 (45-22) ball over that span, while the Red Sox have played just TWO games over .500 (34-32). With 45 games left, six vs the Sox, its only a matter of time before the Yankees are once again where they belong...FIRST PLACE!

How about that great trade deadline move for Gagne? Four innings pitched in five appearances, striking out five but giving up SEVEN earned runs. Ill take Big Chief Joba Chamberlain, four innings pitched, six strike outs and NO EARNED runs.

Shelly Duncan vs Billy Brubaker

Yes, Ive seen Summer Catch… and I like it. It hit me the other day, could Shelly Duncan and Billy Brubaker be related? You be the judge.

Yankee Stadium Fun Police

For the past few weeks Yankee Stadium security has banned all insulting or derogatory chanting from the bleachers. The banning spawned from an incident when the Yankees were playing the Mets and someone made an anti-Semitic remark to the Mets Jewish right fielder, Shawn Green. An outraged fan sent a letter to the Yankees and thus the end of 'fun' in the bleachers.

A Chance of Yankee Thunder at Fenway

By MURRAY CHASS

Projections in baseball are overused and meaningless. It's just plain foolish to say or think that because Alex Rodriguez hit 14 home runs in the Yankees' first 18 games that he's going to hit 126 home runs this season. Not even Barry Bonds, in his body-boggling prime, could have done that.

Sheffield's Opinion

Its incredible how ignorant some people can be.
