Zim & Crosby Rip Yanks

A former bench-coach and former utility outfielder for the Yankees have made it known: they don't like A-Rod and they don't like the team chemistry.

Crosby and Zim are about as relevant as Britney Spears at a day care center.

A-Rod & Jeter: The Sands of An Hourglass

Alex and Derek are not buddy-buddy anymore.

Every Yankees fan realized that three years ago, and would have believed so following the 2001 article released in Esquire Magazine.

In said article, Rodriguez said Jeter (just failing to win his 5th ring in 6 years) was not an impact player, "You worry about O'Neill and Bernie, you don't worry about Derek beating you." Calling him a #2 hitter may have been the worst mistake in A-Rod's lifetime, as it has come back to haunt him tenfold.

Manny Already Being Manny

*Manny Ramirez has already begun his antics. Excuses or not.

*An old HOFer pulled a hit-and-run in Arkansas.

*Blue Jays Manager John Gibbons got himself a one year extension. No word on whether GM JP Ricciardi was forced as fist-point.

2007 Yankee Preview & Projections

A close look at the 2007 Yankees as they may take form following Spring training as well as some possibly moves made by the time we turn the calendar to July.

With some creative maneuvering, Cashman may reassemble one hell of an array of talent. Both starting pitching and bullpen depth could be extremely exciting if not dominant. This would back an already juggernaut of a lineup.

I Live For This

Joe Torre says he will manage beyond 2007, with or without the Yankees. He also hopes to have a long conversation with Bernie Williams.

Also, Cashman's first order of business will be a discussion with Mariano Rivera. Who has been rumored - by either morons or publicity-seeking columnists - to be on his way out of New York. Mariano spoke softly and not defensively, he will finish his career in pinstripes and it won't be at the end of this season.

Marty Gets Axed.....Mo needs Contract

The Chargers don't have any coaches. They just fired Marty Schottenheimer due to strong differences between the former coach and GM AJ Smith. For such an incredibly gifted club, the Chargers are currently a bastard child.

Alexander the Grater

Alex Rodriguez begins the 2007 season knowing this may be his last chance to "prove" himself in New York. Winning an MVP and posting 100 RBI with 35+ homers annually provides a different form of the word prove. In New York, the word prove means win when it counts. In October.

The first step toward re-attaining his other-worldly talents is a pat on the back and helping hand from the Captain, Derek Jeter.

Carl Pavano trade talk

Johan Santana trade means many pitchers in return

Helton talks may return during Spring training

Bernie Rejects Spring Invite

Bernie Williams, Yankees icon, has decided to deny a minor league invite to Spring training.

All in all, this a good move for Bernie who does not deserve to be treated like a minor-league journeyman. He is a four-time world series champion who roamed centerfield at Yankee Stadium for over a decade.

Spring Training: Time To Phil-er-up

Phil Hughes, the jewel of the Yankees minor league system spoke to MLB.com about the pressures of the major leagues, high expectations and keeping his ego in check.

Hughes did not ONCE pitch to a hitter with the bases loaded last year. A feat that is borderline ridiculous.

Selig "Indecisive" on Bonds

Bud Selig does not like Barry Bonds. No matter how he tries to pretend that he does.

Bud Selig is very close friends with Hank Aaron and has been for over 50 years.

Add the two facts together and you get one thing: Bud doesn't want Barry breaking Aaron's record.

Watch the Commish as he squirms thinking about a roided up a-hole surpassing a (lifetime friend and) trailblazer.

Rutgers Monster Recruiting Class

Rutgers has the second best high school offensive lineman coming to their campus next year. Anthony Davis, a giant left tackle, will join another prospect ranked in the top-100 of the nation, as well as Dwight Freeney's cousin & countless others. It's a good time to be a Rutgers football fan. Who in God's name would have ever expected to hear those words spoken without a laughter following.

Jeter Hates Europe & Dellin Betances is a Stud

Jeter couldn't escape the failure of last year's playoff elimination, even while vacationing overseas.

Betances is a 19-year-old 6foot9 right handed flamethrower. If he can stay healthy, he very well may be in pinstripes come 2010.

Juan Uribe Needs Your Frequent-Flyer-Miles

Juan Uribe will have to travel twice a month to the Dominican Republic for court appearances stemming from a shooting in his native land. Supposedly, the altercation arose from a local farmer getting too close to Uribe's ride. Yeah, that's a reasonable response Juan. Not like you have millions of dollars and a reputation to lose.
