JE Skeets takes parody rap to a whole new level. These are some PG13 lyrics: "Boston will end **** that the Wiz done started -- Add Jay-Z and LeBron to the dearly departed" WARNING - very, very potentially offensive language - though there is a "clean" version as well

Lots of teams that go up two games to none will lose the thrid game. In fact, that's the way every 2nd round series has gone thus far. The Pistons, Lakers, and Hornets all won the first two at home and dropped the 3rd game on the road. The difference between those teams and the Celtics is that they all won road games in the first round. So if the Celtics lose this game, it won't be seen as just one game. It will be seen as a troubling trend. If they lose the next two, it will be a major story.

Anyone want to know why LeBron didn't look worried at the end of last night's game? Probably because he remembers last year. In the Eastern Conference Finals, the Pistons won the first two games at home while holding LeBron to just 10 points and 19 points on a combined 12-34 shooting. The Cavs won the next 4 and represented the East in the Finals, leaving the Pistons wondering what truck just hit them. Don't think for a minute that this one is over or that LeBron can't come back and light it up. Remember, in game 3 of that series, he had 32 points. In game 5, he went for 48 in a double overtime win.

When LeBron was held to 2-18 shooting in game one, you could excuse us for thinking it was just an off night for him. When he is then held to 6-24 shooting, as he was tonight, you have to start giving credit to the Celtics amazing defense. Sure he got his 21 points and 6 assists, but in no way was he a factor in this game. The Boston players clogged the driving lanes and contested every pass, making it difficult for his teammates to get the open looks that he normally gets for them. Posey, Powe, and others worked in unison to bother James when he did make it near the basket. The only space LeBron found was on the perimeter where he was 0-4.

Boston Sports Media Watch reports the following: "So after months and months of speculation that ex-Patriots employee Matt Walsh possessed damning evidence against the team above and beyond what they had already been punished for, Walsh revealed the goods yesterday, and surprise, surprise, there was no tape of the Rams walkthrough prior to Super Bowl XXXVI in his collection. What he did have was what we already knew - and what the Patriots had already admitted - tapes that showed they had been taping opposing signals since the start of the Belichick era. As part of the release yesterday, Walsh's attorneys also stated that he was not the source of John Tomase's infamous story the day before this year's Super Bowl that claimed that a tape of the Rams walkthrough exists. It would seem that Walsh was simply out for his 15 minutes of fame, and he certainly got it, thanks to an overzealous media eager for anything new to pin on the Patriots."

The world is just now waking up to the reality that Celtics fans have known for years. Delonte West is the funniest guy in the NBA. Here's some evidence: http://blogs.clevescene.com/cnotes/2008/05/meet_delonte_west_the_funniest.php http://ballhype.com/video/delonte_west_uncut_part_2/ http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/page2/story?page=cornetta/060214

The King is in town and we're about to be super-saturated with all things LeBron James. We are all witnesses to the lawyer drinking Vitamin Water (or was it PowerAde? Or Sprite? I can't keep up) and feeding his son food that his personal chef is cooking in the background. Oh yeah, and you might have noticed that he can play a little too. For instance, the triple double he dropped on the Wizards in their clinching game 6. (Imagine that, putting a team away in less than 7 games.) Or perhaps you might remember him putting the Cavs on his back and carrying them kicking and screaming all the way to the Finals last year. Or perhaps you might have noticed that the boys in stripped shirts get a tad bit whistley when he has the ball and a defender invades his personal space. Yup, we're going to see a lot of Mr. James in the coming weeks.

Last and certainly not least, a shout out goes out to Hawks fans everywhere. The Phillips Arena was absolutely rocking all series long and it was a major boost to your team. You really did "shock the world" simply by forcing the series to seven games, and the home court deserves a lot of credit. Well done. Now do your team proud and reward them with that same great support next year and who knows how good they'll be? Hats off you you.

I'm once again stunned. How did this happen? Lets start with the fourth quarter. By double teaming Joe Johnson every time down the floor, he was able to set up all his teammates for open looks all game long. That led to a huge run in the fourth that put Boston on its heals and gave the Hawks the lead. The foul call on Pierce was horrible, but even worse was him losing his cool to give them another technical free throw. What was Ray Allen thinking taking that 3 that quickly? From Doc's reaction, that wasn't the play that he called up. Still, Doc can't escape blame for not putting them in position to make the right play. Not to mention the very last play where there was a complete lack of plan, execution, or awareness.

It all boils down to closing out the opponent. In game 4 the Celtics had a 10 point lead going into the 4th quarter and couldn't put it away. In game 5 they had a big lead early, withstood a run by the Hawks, then put their foot down and put the Hawks away. You can't let up on a talented team like the Hawks. You have to (metaphorically) push them down and step on their neck. You can't fall back into prevent defense. You have to keep playing the aggressive style of play that got you the lead in the first place.

# Dear, Doc. THAT is why you need to play Powe. 5 offensive rebounds, 7 points, and 2 big drawn offensive fouls (or as I like to call them, strategic flops). # On the downside Ray Allen looked surprisingly sloppy in the first half with some missed open looks and at least one bad turnover. Redeemed himself with a late 3 though. No worries here. # Thankfully Bibby has slipped back into his invisibility cloak. # Doc put in Tony. And then Tony proceeded to airball a three and commit a dumb foul on a Joe Johnson three pointer. Doc couldn't have justified himself any better if he planned it that way.

Ok, I've let it sink in for a day. I tried the penitent fan route. I tried being nice. That's all over now. The Celtics are going to put an end to this nonsense. You fans are going to go to the game, scream your lungs out, and watch the better team win. The Hawks are still the Hawks. The Celtics are still the 66 win, beat-every-team-in-the-league, record turnaround, Boston Celtics that we know and love. They didn't go anywhere. They just got off track. That's over now too. Boston in 6.

Did that really just happen? Was it all a bad dream? I knew going to bed last night that those would be my first thoughts waking up. As a Celtics blogger and a self appointed voice of Celtics fans everywhere, I'm supposed to have something to say about all this. But I have to admit that I'm still dumbfounded. I don't know if I'm supposed to sooth people's fears and assure them that everything's going to be alright or if I should be slamming on the panic button and declaring a threat level green in Celtic Nation.

At the beginning of this series (and pretty much throughout the first two games), I was pretty outspoken in my confidence in the Celtics and their superiority. In fact, I made a wager with a Hawks blogger to write 300 words on the greatness of the Hawks for every game they won.

Well, I'm not bored anymore. Tonight will be interesting to say the least. This is the first test of the post season. I hope they pass. Can't help but think that the emotion of game 3 was a carryover from game 2. The Hawks made things chippy with their physical play and the Celtics let them know in no uncertain terms who was winning by 20 points.
