Donovan McNabb now 19-19 in last 38 starts.

Donovan Mcnabb and the Eagles are 19-19 in his last 38 starts.

Can he really take them where the Eagles want to go? He airs it out and gets big yards and then later in the game, tightens up and bounces balls off the ground, feet in front of short receivers.

NFC East - Actually, Believe the Hype

Okay so the NFC East is undefeated outside of the division. SO WHAT!

Good Point Self. Thanks Self. Let's get talking.

The Giants are super Bowl Champs. (I know, that's hard to believe, but they are). The Dallas Cowboys are considered the most talented team in the league (with 11 2007 pro bowlers). And the Philadelphia Eagles are Sports Illustrated's picks for Super Bowl Champions.

Dr. Z, Paul Zimmerman, of SI has these three teams ranked 1,2,3 in his power rankings. And I cannot think of another team that is better. Can you? (Patriots - NO. Colts - NO. Ravens, Bills, Packers, Titans? - NO!)

The Redskins are the only team that is not "elite" and they have won both of their non-division games (Saints and Cardinals.)

Time will tell, but we are looking at three teams that will make the playoffs from one division.

Fantasy Football Revelations Week 4 - WR

Here are some interesting pick ups for Fantasy Football:

WR: I am liking Josh Reed from Buffalo. He seems to be developing a rapport with Trent Edwards as the QB finds his comfort level on a run first, defensive, special teams focused Bills squad. Lee Evans has always been an all or nothing playmaker instead of the go to guy (see Alvin Harper). Look for Josh Reed to settle in as an equal to Lee Evans in yards, TDs. Reed might edge Evans in receptions if your league is PPR.

WR question: Is Antonio Bryant a viable option? Jettisoned from the Cowboys to the Browns to San Francisco and now to the Bucs, Antonio Bryant is a former Bilentikoff winner who seems to be talented but troubled. He is older now and has a "woopee let's go coach" in Gruden. Galloway is hurt (and old) and the bucs just threw the ball 67 times in one game. I would pick up Bryant if had some garbage hanging around on my team, which i always do. (and so do you). so Drop injured Kenny Watson.

Laverneous Coles: I don't think i spelled that correctly, but he is a pick up if he has been dropped. Favre will provide TD numbers in the low twenties and Stuckey won't get them all. Coles should be a viable 3rd receiver option, and a receiver who will benefit from poor matchups.

Bobby Engram: There is a good chance Bobby Engram is available in your league. PICK HIM UP. This guy is coming off a career year in Seattle and will enter a team that has 7 injured WRs. He will be a fine WR3 for any team.

Chris Henry: He will be allowed to play week 5. He has a history of catching TDs while Housh and Former yellow mohawk are focused on. Some guy named Chapman was eating up the Giants underneath last week and I expect Henry will fill that role when he returns.

Peter King. In fact, I hate him

One of the "Rules of the Yard" is Be Civil (no personal attacks). I guess that means other yard barkonians. I think Peter King is fair game.

Way back when, maybe 2 or 3 years ago, I used to read Peter King on Si.com. I enjoyed the articles and found them eclectic and refreshing.

Unfortunately, Peter King loves himself. Unfortunately, he loves his quirkiness. Unfortunately, he has the football knowledge of a-- year old boy.

He gets so excited about this guy being the next Jerry Rice or Joe Montana. CALM DOWN PETER KING.

Before last season, or perhaps the season before, when Peter King proclaimed that Julius Jones was no less than the second coming of Barry Sanders and Emmitt Smith combined, I knew that Peter King was putting himself out on a limb that he could not defend. Julius Jones would have to swoop out of the heavens and pick up the fat, squirrelly sportswriter and save his career.

But no, Peter King avoids any ill will through his love of young phenoms. Through his love of personal, tearful stories. Through his sincere, and honest disdain for Michael Vick's actions (but not his person).

Anyway, I swore I would never read Peter King again, but as a Dallas Cowboys fan, Si.com forced me to read the trash that is Peter Kings' writings. From this point on, I will comment on that writer's trash articles on Si.com.

I want to know if there are more Peter King haters out there.

Do you exist? Am I alone?

Strahan: eehh, nah.

Okay, so Michael Strahan says no. Thank God. This whole Brett Favre thing has been so painful, I couldn't deal with another, "I'm old, but great, but old" story.

Football-wise, not having Michael Strahan easily helps the New York Giants. Kiwanuka at DE is where he should be. He is not a linebacker and never will be, at least not in a 4-3. (3-4 is a different story). The Giants again will be in a rebuilding year, as they are every year, for the first 6 games. They constantly have problems, injuries, no-body fill ins that seem to make the team ready to tank. I don't care if that is a bad sentence. I am 4 Yuenglings in. So anyway, with all this crap, they still manage to shuffle together a formidable team by the end of the year.

Is it the veterans? Is it the Coaching? I am not sure, but it is safe to say that they always have "names" hanging around on the roster.

Dr. Z, Paul Zimmerman, reported last year prior to the Super Bowl that although Osi Umenyiora was athletically gifted, he would, at times, disappear from entire games. I must agree with this statement, or idea, since I did not provide a statement.

Where am I going with this?

Mathias Kiwanuka will emerge as a better all around DE than Osi U. He is more complete in his physical control of his body. Better run stuffing and contain from the end slot. I also suspect that he is going to have a stronger inside rush move. We will see.
