This site is starting to become a joke when you have people create accounts they day of to bash Eagles fans for stating their opinions. I joined this site this past year and have seen it become nothing but nonsense. Everyone has their own opinions and their own feelings about their team and I've never seen so many people take it as a personal attack. TC made a post about the top 20 QBs in the NFL and it seemed like he got attacked for it. Do I agree completely with his list, probably not, but I don't think he needed to justify to everyone why he made his list the way it is. It's his own opinion and he had a reason why he ranked that QB in that number. That post was better than some of the other nonsense that's been on here lately.
Every post is not knowledgeable on this site and some of it is garbage, but the posts that actually make sense and one would think would attract some good discussion goes right down the tube because it becomes a battle zone for people and it's the same thing over and over again.
Yes, as an Eagles fan, I realize that we haven't won a SB, so I don't need to be reminded everyday about it. It's gets a little old after a while. Yes, we all know that the Patriots lost in the SB to the Giants. Yes, we know that the Cowboys haven't won a playoff game in however many years. The list goes on and on. But right now none of that matters, because every team in the NFL is 0-0 right now. So let's move on and worry about 2008.
This site is not perfect, nor is it every going to be perfect when you have idiots who create an account one day just to hide their identity to say something about a team. It's becoming a joke and it's a shame that nothing is done about it because you are the people who are ruining this site.

Just a little something to share with other Eagles fans. Today Donovan McNabb was in Newark, NJ at Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield with his mother and father speaking about hypertension. There were about 100 seats to this event which were raffled off within the company and I was lucky enough to get a seat. It was a good experience listening to the McNabb's as well as other speakers talk about hypertension and how it affects Americans. This disease is one that shouldn't be taken lightly as it affects more and more Americans each year and the McNabb's urge everyone to get their blood pressure checked regularly. On a side note, Donovan looks like he's in great shape and seems to be very relaxed. I think that's good news.

After reading a post by pipoto77 about GCobb, for some reason I decided to go to the website and read some of the articles posted by GCobb. I must say that after reading them, I do feel somewhat dumber because what he writes is nonsense.
Although, after reading some comments it did get me thinking and to me it seems like Donovan is in a no win situation. I don't mean within the organization, but with the media and the fans. For years McNabb was criticized for being a "company" man and not speaking out about certain issues. To some that was a knock on Donovan. Now he is speaking out about wanting more playmakers and being questioned by the media about his satisfaction with the off-season moves. No matter what he says, every answer is being dissected and looked at under a microscope.
No matter what he says or what he does the man is being chastised. It's to a point, if I were Donovan I would even want to talk to the media.

Ever since a certain Terrell Eldorado Owens left town a few years back, the Philadelphia Eagles haven't been the same. Yes, Brian Westbrook has broke out and become a premiere running back. But besides Westbrook the team and the offense has either been stagnant or in a downward trend. Take last year's pathetic (45%, 24th in the league), red zone production. If not for Jeff Garcia's Travolta-like rebirth and incredible drive to the playoffs (which of course ended when Andy Reid gagged and punted late in the game to a Saints team that had been running wild on them all day) this team may not have had an over .500 finish since that glorious, ill-fated '04-'05 season. While Donovan's McNabb's health has been an on and off issue, his supporting cast continues to be a steady, confounding one. Kevin Curtis, Reggie Brown, LJ Smith…stop me when I mention someone that actually scares an opposing defense. Click to read the rest.....

As the Eagles rookies prepare for their second mini camp, which rookie is looking to make an impact on the field and has a chance of making the team and pushing for some playing time.

Wow, talk about making a name for yourself in your rookie year. I'm sure this is not how James Hardy wanted to do so, though it is allegedly.

In this case, the numbers didn't lie. The Eagles ranked 24th in the league last season in kickoff return average, 24th in punt return average and were 29th in net punt return average. Too, the Eagles allowed an average of 11.4 yards per punt return to rank 28th in the NFL. Let's hope that the players signed this offseason can help improve on some ugly numbers.

After all JR Reed has been through he is healthy this offseason and ready to go. Along with Dawkins and Mikel, I like JR in a back up role at the safety position.

As a die hard Eagles fan and a huge supporter of Donovan McNabb, I must admit that I am a little disturbed about a post I read recently on the Yard. I'm not trying to make this into a big thing, but again as a die hard Eagles fan, it was a little disturbing. The article called for hope that Donovan would be traded to a team so he could get a Super Bowl ring. I agree that I would love for Donovan to get a SB ring, but with the Eagles not with another team. What's the point of trading him? What are we going to get? Sure, we'll get something for him, but where does that get the Eagles? Does it get them a SB ring? Do I think that the FO gives Donovan all the weapons that he needs in order to get back to the SB and win? No I don't think so, but that's probably why I'm not running the team. I would probably go out there and try to get the big names with the hopes of winning the SB, but that doesn't always work. Look at the LA Lakers, when they had Kobe, Shaq, Gary Payton and Karl Malone in their staring line up. Did they win it all? No. I think the way the Eagles FO looks at things is by getting the most bang for their buck. They don't over spend, they sign players that they think they can win with. Maybe they can't, maybe they can't. I Trading Donovan is not the answer. I personally think he is going to have a tremendous season and lead the Eagles back into the playoffs. For the first time in years he is healthy this off season and out to prove his doubters wrong. I also think he is looking to finally put the rumors to rest about him being traded. Donovan isn't going anywhere and Kolb can be the next Aaron Rogers. If Donovan gets traded, the FO has no clue what they are doing and then maybe I should run the team.

At some point this offseason WR Roy Williams thought he was going to be traded. Now with no trade on the horizon, he thinks he will be slapped with the franchise tag after the 08-09 season.
