Tony Hunt Released for Tracy White

The Eagles needed a true FB instead of Tony so they picked up a LB? How does this make any sense??? I guess Klecko will be FB and we'll look a sack every now and again on defense. To be honest I'm not that surprised with the move, I just wish it wasn't Hunt (I'm a PSU grad). I also wonder why they picked up another LB? Do they think Joe Mays has lost a step in practice??? I'm kinda puzzled as to who this Tracy White character is..... Bark it up!

What's the problem

Seems like we were doing fine with out Reggie Brown and now that he has stepped back on the field, we've been stinking..... its time to trim the fat!

Which receivers do we keep?

6:00 PM Saturday is fast approaching, but lets make some predictions at wide out. We have to know that the following receivers have made the team:

Curtis

Brown

Jackson

Baskett

That leaves room for 2 more receivers. There are 3 receivers on the bubble, and they are as follows:

Avant

Lewis

Gasperson

Personally I think we'lll take Avant, but im not sure about Lewis and Gasperson. So what do you think... Old reliable or the talented underdog???.

I would go with Gasperson, 6'4'' 230 and quick, but im still big on Lewis. I really dont know!

You know what to do... bark it up!

Umenyiora out for the season with a torn MCL

Osi is out for the season with a torn MCL. This means more time in the pocket to get the ball the ball to the receivers and we should be able to capitalize on the many screens that we execute. We should win both games vs. the giants now that their best player is off the field.

The Offense came alive Goosebumps and chills..... its gonna be a good year!

What a performance on offense! McNabb was on fire through the first half; 13/17 180, 1TD. DeSean Jackson stepped up big time. Oline was much improved from last week. OMG... Im excited. I cant form sentences. Kolbs first drive was awesome too!!!

I dont think Hunt is big enough to be a FB, I think they keep him as a #4 RB and #2 FB, giving us some trick play options.

How many receivers do we keep? Who's the odd men out? Who do we keep on the practice squad? Who did you think of McBride and Gasperson? What happens with Davis and Hunt?

Eagles #2 Defense

The #2 front 7 came to play tonight. How about Mays, McDougle and Klecko! All three guys were out there getting it done. If were going to sub in that front seven every couple plays again we will have a minimum of 35 sacks on the season barring injury.

I was very disappointed in the #2 secondary, and very shocked at the play of Qunintin Demps. Its hard for me to say that with him having that TD but his play at safety was questionable. He made too many rookie mistakes, that should have been corrected already.I feel that JR Reed really saved him tonight.

I was really hoping for an INT this game, but it didnt happen. Well see the adjustments JJ makes to the #2 secondary next week. Lets hope that it rains INT's

Otherwise it was a good game.

Check this out LILEAGLE (I didnt mean to block you, I did it by accident)

No I dont pump gas at Wawa in Jersey, Im more than capable of buying season tickets without using mommy and daddy's credit cards, and I hate Dave Spadero!! Dude I understand you and I get you. The difference between you and me is that I support my team. I never said nor do I think that Reggie Brown is some great receiver. I think hes inconsistent and he needs to live up to his potential. Would I like for some awesome receiver to replace him, of course, but its gonna gonna happen. The backups that we have a capable of having the same season that Curtis had last year. They need to work hard, and they need the fans to pump em up.

I was on here during free agency rallying for the Eagles to get Chad, Fitz, and Boldin, but it didn't happen. Now I have to live with the choices that team his made, and I have to support them. If you think complaining about it is gonna get someone here now that Cutris is out your mistaken. If it was so easy to get a probowl wide out in midnight green, dont you think it would have been done by now? There are so many playmakers on our team, one player cant really hurt us that much. It doesnt take just one person to make an team.

Look at the 2004 season, we played fine without TO in the playoffs and we made it to the superbowl. Look at what the Giants did for Eli when he was playing horrible football., the rest of the team stepped up and got it done.

If you think that bringing Anquan here, especially at this time, will guarantee us a superbowl victory your wrong. It would take at least 1/2 a season for him to learn the offense and build chemistry with McNabb. If they did bring him here, we probably wouldn't have enough to pay him, unless we let a couple people go.

I was born and raised in Philly, I've always supported my Eagles, and when they did stuff that I didnt agree with I talked trash on them (just liked every other eagles fan), but I always thought that they could get that ring no matter who is on the field.

Like I said I didn't mean to block you, those are really sweet seats, and I hope when I can get tix, cuz im on the long as waiting list, I can get seats that close! Peace

Give them a chance

Please.... give the backups a chance before you write off the season. I believe we have good depth at wide out, and that the back ups we have a capable of having the same kind of season that Curtis had last year.

Don't condemn the season before it gets here. You all may be plesently surprised on Friday night!

What happened to supporting your team?

First, every Eagles fan needs to support this team. Yea, so what, Curtis is out for about 2-3 months, but you know what we have other good receivers who are on the cusp of being starters. Look at how Greg Lewis came up big for us in the New England game with 2 TD catches. Greg is the same type of player that Curtis is; he's fast with god hands, and great route running capabilities oh and he's a vet with the Eagles since 2003. Hank Baskett is a big strong physical receiver who fits the mold of what every fan has been rallying for. Then you have Jackson who is a true playmaker where ever he is on the field. We may even see McBride or Gasperson step up and make some plays. Look right now its still the Preseason. We have 2 more weeks to see who can step up and fill the shoes of Kevin Curtis.

Do you guys think that the players don't know that you don't support them; that you don't think they are good enough; that you think need another receiver to come in to take Curtis' spot? Do you think that Reid and McNabb don't want rings? If you, "Eagles fans" don't support them, then what the hell do they have to play for?

There is still a lot of stuff we can do on offense without Curtis. We still have Westbrook, Brown, McNabb, Booker, Jackson, and Smith. Don't forget that we should be better with turnovers this year. We've added Asante Samuel and a lot of speed on the pass rush to the defense.

The cup is three quarters full right now. One person doesn't make a team. The team can make it through this!!!

If you think that we need Anquan, your wrong. If you think Anquan will play for a team other than Arizona, your stupid. If you think that that team doesn't need the support of this entire city through this situation, your not an Eagles fan!!!

One City. One Team. One Goal.

Whats next?

So I love the first two picks. I dont think we should have let the Skins come away with both Thomas and Kelly, but I dont think were done at the WR position. I think our next move will be a safety and I really hope we can get DeJuan Morgan; I think they should trade up to get him if they have too. There is a lot of value there, and with him studying under Dawkins hes going to be unbelievable. We should have tried to get Kenny Phillips (I think he is who Reid wanted to trade up to get). He's going to be a lot of trouble for us next season; hes very hard hitting, very smart, and very raw. Next we need to look at OL. I dont have a person at this position, but Im sure Andy has a stud in the back of his mind. After these 2 picks, we can basically do anything. I would like to see Justin King fall to us for his speed, maybe a huge underrated receiver; someone thats not on everyones radar. Well Rd. 3 is starting so let me know what you think!!!!

Whats going to happen in Rd. 1

What do you all think will happen on draft day??? I'm not sure what to think. I say this because we all know our KR/PR situation, and Jackson would be a wonderful addition to the team for that reason ( as well as the deep threat), but i don't see the Eagles taking him in the first round even though they would like to. The only way I can see the Eagles getting Jackson is if we get a first rounder for Lito, so combination. This is very possible considering that we have 11 picks in this years draft. What do you guys think is Lito's value to another team? Where could you see him going?

So if Rodges-Cromarti is there do you think well take him, he been there or will be there for a visit. They have been posting about CB tapes on the website, which leads me to believe that they want to go CB in the draft. Maybe even a Safety???

Im not trying to cause any rumors, I just want some opinions...

Thanks.... let me know what you think!!!

Eagles FO put your game faces on and get Johnson

After watching Chad on NFL Network yesterday, he made a comment that "the grass isn't always greener on the other side, but I got some watering hole and I'm gonna make it green." (or something like that). Johnson wants out of Cincy, and wants to be on a team who can actually make it through the playoffs to he superbowl. Cincy had the opportunity in the 05 Season, but it was yanked away from them when Pittsburgh took Palmer out of the game on a cheapshot to his knee. I believe that Ocho Cinco would play for a discount to get out of there just like Moss did in New England. I feel as though the Eagles FO need to go after him aggressively and give him the same offer that they wanted to give Moss. If this happens nothing could stop us or slow us down. I'm saying this because with Johnson, we might have one of the most prolific receiving corps in the NFL with Johnson at No. 1 Curtis, Brown and Baskett (who I think should be a No. 2 WO) at No. 2 and Lewis, and Avant ( who i don't think has reached his full potential) at NO. 3. The only trouble I can see us having is if Dallas get Adam Jones, who is one of the elite cornerbacks in the league. If that was to happen, Dallas would only slow us down, not bring us to a stop!!!

Whoever this guy is who created the bringchad2philly.com website is seriously awesome!!!

and whoever the person is who thinks that the Eagles are fine with the receiver that we have is seriously smoking crack. They wouldn't have went after Fitz and Moss if they weren't at least a little unhappy with the WO situation. They only reason they say that they are fine with the receivers is because they don't want to break down the confidence of the receivers that we have now, which would force all sorts of problems in the locker room and on the field. You see what happened with Brown, an insecure player who thinks that McNabb was talking directly to him when he asked for more playmakers.

Please let me know what you think

Samuel+Clemons-Sheppard -1st rd. pick+Fitzgerald=Superbo wl and some stuff about the draft

I don't know how the any TRUE Eagles fan could not love the addition of Asante Samuel. He is the top cornerback in the league, and has proven it time and time again with the Patriots. Chris Clemons is a monster at defensive end and he has proven himself with the Raiders. The proof is in the numbers for both players. Samuel had the most interceptions in the league over the last two years. Clemons had 8 sacks last year a bunch of hurries and tackles, only taking 37% of the defensive snaps. I don't think people understand how tremendous that is.

After last season, I think Sheppard has showed us that he's still a very capable cornerback and that he still can play some ball, but I don't think that he needs to be here with us. Good cornerbacks are hard to find in this league, and the Eagles have great value in Sheppard. I really think they need to shop Sheppard around and try to get the best deal for him. I have no idea what the Eagles are going to do, none of us do, but I really do think that should go for making this deal, the Eagles first rounder and Lito Sheppard for Larry Fitzgerald, with the Cardinals. I know I'm just another Eagles fan who is circulating this rumor, but I honestly think that if the Eagles want to get back to what they were in 04, they need a big receiver. This Larry Fitzgerald deal would be a step in the right direction. Furthermore, if we get Fitz through this trade, it really would justify us sending the1st rd. pick away.

There are other rumors of Randy Moss coming to the Eagles. Getting Randy Moss to come to the eagles would be great, but the truth of the matter is that Randy Moss is going to stay with the Patriots. He may have said that he was open to listening to offers from other teams, but I think this is just a ploy for him to get more money from the Pats. We know that the Pats, the cheap cheaters, gave Moss a low ball offer. So now I'm convinced that Moss is going to talk to a couple teams, to drive up the New England offer and eventually sign with them. The trouble is that New England might not want to actually spend the money for Moss, prompting him to make a move. If that happens, then I think the Eagles will make a offer to Moss and forget about the Fitz deal. Moss is the kind of receiver that McNabb needs to be productive and the Eagles know that. Moss is fast and tall and he knows how to get separation, not to mention he just broke the touchdown record.

So I'm going to bank on the Fitz deal happening, but getting Moss is not totally out of the picture. We need to get rid of Sheppard and that trash called Winston Justice and Reno Mahe to clear some cap space to add either of those receivers. With that said if the Eagles can capture either wide out they should be set until the draft.

In the draft the Eagles need to go after DeSean Jackson from Cal, not because hes a wide out but because of his KR ability. Moreover, it wouldn't be totally bad to add some depth at the WR position.

Please let me know what you think!!!
