Paulie Malignaggi Will Punish Pacquiao! Or So He Says.

I recently read this interview of Paul Malignaggi over at East Side Boxing and it was the crappiest interview I've read in a long time. Malignaggi is the IBF junior-welterweight champ, but he's full of shit (pardon the expletive). This guy must have smoked some crack to have hallucinations about defeating Ricky Hatton and punishing Manny Pacquiao. Come on Paul, where the hell did you get your stupid ideas?

To give you an idea about the crap interview I am talking about, here's a short excerpt from the interview of the "Magic Man".

Firstly, Paulie, how's your right hand? I understand the cast came off earlier this week.

I'm in the rehabilitation stage right now, but there is no pain and I'm healing real well. In fact, this break is probably the least damaging of all the breaks I've had with the right hand. There was only one fracture, and I've had breaks where there were seven fractures.

How many times have you broken your hand now?

I've had four separate surgeries on the hand.

Moving on to the Ricky Hatton fight. Are you unhappy the fight looks like it will be held in Las Vegas and not New York?

Well, it looks like it will be The MGM in Las Vegas on November 22nd. So I will be in Vegas with bells on. I would've liked the fight to have been at Madison Square Garden but I think it will be Ricky who lives to regret the fight taking place in Vegas instead. For the whole of his career, Ricky Hatton will never get the chance to headline at Madison Square Garden. His only chance would have been in a fight with Paulie Malignaggi.

If you beat him (Hatton), you will likely end his career. Is that your mindset going in?

Not really. I mean, I'm not looking at his future after this fight, I'm only looking at mine. The way I see it, I'd give Ricky a rematch just as soon as I've punished Manny Pacquiao. I am really angry at the complete lack of respect Manny Pacquiao has been giving me. I mean, he's been talking about fighting Hatton next, when Hatton hasn't even got past me yet! I've worked very hard to get where I am in my career, and for Pacquiao to completely take that away from me by disrespecting me - that makes me really want to punish him after I beat Hatton. But then, afterwards, I would be happy to give Ricky a rematch.

Are there any plans for you to move up to welterweight, or will you stay at 140?

I'll move up to welterweight to get a rematch with Miguel Cotto. That's the ultimate fight for me, and that would have to be at 147, so I'll move up for that fight.

Going back to the Hatton fight. How do you see the fight going?

It will definitely be the best performance of my career. I mean, if I don't stop him I'll be happy to take a points win. The thing is, I'll have an answer for anything he does in there. In terms of skill we aren't even on the some page - there's no way he can match me for sheer skill.

Come on Paul, you only have 25 wins in your career with only 5 knockouts and yet you tell people that you'll bring down Hatton, punish Pacquaio and demand a rematch against Cotto? Get a life dude. Clearly Paulie, you gotta quit smoking your shit and stop speaking crap.

All Time Nets

With Malice, a big time Lakers fan recently posted his All-Time Lakers team and I thought it would be fun to make my own all time Nets team. I think other bloggers are also making their own all-time teams and I can't wait to see their line-ups. Without further delay, I present to you my All-Time Nets team.

Starting five:

PG: Jason Kidd

SG: Drazen Petrovic

SF: Juluis Erving

PF: Buck Williams

C: Nenad Krstic (lack of options)

Bench:

Vince Carter

Nate Archibald

Kenyon Martin

Rick Barry

Richard Jefferson

It was pretty hard filling up the positions especially the center spot. I think there's really a scarcity in talented big men that played for the Nets in the past. Though Krstic is a pretty decent center, I don't really feel that he deserves to be up there as an all-time great Nets player. His name is actually there just to fill up the center position.

I was thinking of putting Derrick Coleman and Keith Van Horn on the list but decided they weren't really big part of the Nets. Coleman had too much off-court issues and Van Horn was inconsistent for most parts of his career. The two of them are can be considered to be part of the all-time team, but as of now, they are just for consideration.

I guess my Nets are not as talented as Redsarmy's All-Time Celtics of With Malice's All-Time Lakers, but that's fine with me.

My team will probably get trampled upon by the other all-time greats, but I don't really care. I had fun doing this and I know bright future is ahead of my New Jersey Nets.

Forrest Griffin Overcomes the Rampage, Wins UFC Gold

Forrest Griffin proved to the world of MMA that he's more than just a reality star by beating Quinton 'Rampage' Jackson for the UFC light-heavyweight championship.

Days before the fight, Griffin was the clear underdog for the fight and some experts believed that Jackson will win the fight, at least based on paper. But Griffin stepped up for the biggest fight of his career and fought his way to capture the 205-pound world title by unanimous decision.

NBA Glory Back In Beantown

The Boston Celtics are once again the NBA World Champions. After going through an intense playoff battles all the way back from the first round, the Celtics finally captured their gold. Truth to be told, I'm not really a fan of Celtics and I was rooting for the L.A. Lakers to win it all. I'm not a Lakers fan at heart, but I wanted them to win because I didn't believe in the Celtics. I didn't want to buy the idea that they are a championship caliber team because of their Big 3. Through the playoffs, Lakers looked poised to win it all while the Celtics struggled to win away from home. But after the grueling 26 playoff games, the Green Machine eventually emerged as the champs.

Aguilar Joins RP Squad For Jones Cup

Japeth Aguilar will be suiting up for the Philippines and compete in Chinese-Taipei for the William Jones Cup. The 6-9 former Ateneo Blue Eagles cager made history when he became the first Filipino to play for an NCAA Division I team. Aguilar is currently playing for Western Kentucky University in the US. A perennial shot-blocker during his days in Ateneo, Aguilar is expected to toughen up the RP squad, especially in the defensive end.

Aguilar was given permission by his Hilltoppers coach Ken MacDonald to go back here in the Philippines to play in Jones Cup. Aguilar only played three games with the Hilltoppers because of a leg injury.
