OJ Confesses??????

According to his former manager and ex friend says that OJ was high on weed, sleeping pills, and beer, and told him he killed Nicole and Ron weeks after he was acquitted of their murders. He said that OJ said when he went to the house he didnt have a knife in hand, but Nicole had one as she answered the door. This is what Mike Gilbert claims OJ told him "If she hadn't opened that door with a knife in her hand ... she'd still be alive." He also says that he told OJ to stop taking his pills so the gloves wouldnt fit. This is some crazy ass shit if this did happen, this guy has a book coming out next week "How I Helped O.J. Get Away With Murder: The Shocking Inside Story of Violence, Loyalty, Regret and Remorse." Now I have to say that this guy is reportedly being investigated by the IRS, so maybe that's why he's decided to write this "tell all book."

He also says he never liked Nicole but he offers his apologies to her and her family. OJ's new Lawyer said that Mike Gilbert is a liar and drug addict. Mike Gilbert is also a memorabilia collector and is one of the alleged guys that was with OJ during the Las Vegas incident which he's soon to be on trial for. He also calls himself Judas and says he's betraying OJ because he feels ashamed for what he did. He said that he also tried to sell the suit OJ wore the day of his acquittal.

Like I said crazy shit, I remember exactly where I was during this trial, I was a youngin in 7th grade, I think my class focused more of that trial than we did school work.....LOL. We followed that thing everyday all the way til the end. And the day that verdict was read my whole school erupted in cheers. Now as seventh graders in Philly we where just happy they didnt "get another black man" most of us were still pissed about the Rodney King thing. So we were thinking along racial lines and not that two people just lost their lives, and kids lost their mom. Anyway even if he did confess he cant be retried so Mike Gilbert essentially opened his mouth for nothing IMO.

Del Valley Media Still Fabricating Lito For Vet WR Rumors?

I tell ya these guys just dont quit, yeah I like most Eagles fans want a big name # 1 guy to come here. But I've come to grips with the realization that wont happen this season. We have what we have and we cant change that no matter how much we wish and dream. I'm not saying we cant get one but, this year I think we're set. But for some reason the media in the Del Val wont let this story die, the last to put his two cents in on this topic is Times Columnist Mark Eckel, here are some quotes:

1. " After an uninspiring, one eye on the future draft, going after Williams and not letting him go to Dallas, who is also supposedly very interested, would be the blockbuster, go for it, all in move the Eagles need to restore some optimism to their fan base not to mention their soon-to-be 32-year-old quarterback and a 29-year-old running back who want to win now.

The Lions, like the Bengals, have said they won't trade Williams, who is in the final year of his contract and will be an unrestricted free agent going into the 2009 season. The Eagles, however, need to make Detroit an offer the Lions simply cannot refuse."

2. " There is certainly ammunition, with that extra first-round pick from Carolina, an extra fifth-round pick from Cleveland, and of course cornerback Lito Sheppard, who played perfect soldier last week at the mini-camp. There are also other players who could be packaged as well.

One veteran, who will remain nameless at this time, told me last week his agent told him he could be part of a trade package with Sheppard. So something could still be in the works.

You can only hope it's for a wide receiver and that the receiver is Williams (you could settle for Arizona's Anquan Boldin, but I want Williams).

WHEN WILL IT STOP??????????/

A Rivalry Renewed

Eagles Vs Cowboys one of the fiercest rivalries in sports as Eagles fans its embedded in our brains and psyche to hate the Cowboys from the time we could walk and talk. We hate them they hate us, but I dont think they hate us as much as we hate them. Anyway it's one of the most anticipated games of the season, whether its in Philly or Dallas Eagles fans will make their presence felt and let it be know we will never like the Cowboys and fans and what they stand for. This rivaly has changed over the last decade, instead of hard fought close bloody battles, they've been one sided blow outs. The Cowboys used to dominate us in the 90's, but when Andy Reid came along and drafted Donovan McNabb we slowly took control of this battle. Who can forget McNabb Scrambling all over the place and finally finding Fred Ex deep down the middle? We all can remember exactly where we were during that spectacular play.

Last year we split the season series, in week 9 we got our asses handed to us on national television, but we returned the favor in week 15. Both teams have added some new pieces to initiate into one of the best and fiercest rivalries in sports.

Top 6 WR's Under 25

Randy Moss and Terrell Owens never stop vying for attention. Chad Johnson dominated the offseason headlines until, in a surprise twist, mild-mannered Marvin Harrison was caught in the middle of a Philadelphia shooting investigation.

kajeet- the cell phone service made 4 kids

Enough about the old guys; it's time to move on and shine the spotlight on some much younger NFL wide receivers. While the four above thirtysomethings don't have too many combined years left in the game, there is a group of wideouts 25 years young -- and younger -- ready to dominate.

Here are the top five young receivers in the NFL -- make that six -- who are just getting warmed up.

Most Impressive Streaks in Sports History

I found this article interesting, there's some pretty nice streaks mentioned in this article, probably a few that were left out. But all in all I think they did a good job of compiling this list. It's interesting how we keep up with these things. You have to be on top of your game to have a streak going and of course a little luck never hurts either. Have a great weekend and to the few moms on here Happy a Great Mothers Day!!!!!!!!!!

Ex NFL Linemen Gets 6 Years In Prison

47 year old linemen Louis Sharpe from the Arizona Cardinals was sentenced to six years in prison for the possession of crack cocaine in July and November of 2007 and again in February 2008. He says he's been using cocaine since he was a 21 year old rookie and admits it was the worst mistake he ever made. Since he retired in 1994 he's been convicted of nine felonies. Back in 2004 he was sentenced to 2 1/2 years in prison on other drug charges.

10 Years Later Little Speaks

By now you guys should be familiar with this story, if you're not here's a brief recap. 10 years ago on his birthday Leonard Little of the ST. Louis Rams got in his Navigator drunk ran a red light which cause him to ram into a small car killing the mother inside. He never publicly spoke about it until last week when speaking to a group of elementary school kids his story included a suicide attempt. Dont think you want to tell little kids you tried to kill yourself because you felt guilty about something, but who am I to judge? The person who wrote this story didnt do a good job IMO, especially his lackluster attempts at humor, why would you try to be funny with a story like this?

Day Two Mini-Camp Update

Aahhhhh, Mini-Camps not as exciting as training camps because no pads no hitting but still go to watch the potential that the 08 Eagles have to offer. Today's focus is the RB position, which is very backlogged, we have the standard the Roles Royce of the group Brian Westbrook which has carried the ball over 750 times in the last 2 years, work horse doesnt miss a beat when he's on the field, he's dazzled us with last minute game winning returns and game tying touchdowns. Second we have Buck who has been a very good back up since overcoming his injury filled days but he's entering the last year of his contract, I still see him as the # 2 guy. Lorenzo Booker the new guy getting a lot of reps and Andy is spreading him around the formation, he has speed, and great hands, which is a major plus for this offense.

So who's the Number 4 guys Hunt or Moats? Moats is figured to be the odd man out, he has to an incredible almost mistake free camp to beat out Hunt. Hunt as been at the Nova care complex working out and is well conditioned. But how has his blocking skills improved? Well that remains to be seen when they put of the pads.

I dont think we can carry five backs on this roster, I'm sure Moats will be picked up if he's cut by the Eagles, he has dazzling moves and good speed but his inconsistency is what is going to hurt him. So barring any significant injury I think he'll make it somewhere in this league.

The mini camp footage I saw on day two was good, a lot of the competition for fourth and fifth roster spots are starting to emerge. At the CB position you have Therrian Fontenot who stripped Jason Avant in morning workouts and also broke up a pass from Feeley to Avant. The other guys fighting for that spot is is Tanard Davis the speedy guy picked up from Carolinas practice squad, and there's Nick Graham who has the edge.

DT another of the many crowded spots, here is what the rotation figures to be like during the season, Patterson, Bunkley, and Laws, Reagor is the fourth guy, and Ramsey and Clark are taking reps with the third team.

What happened to Ramsey after such a promising rookie campaign? For some reason he fell off lets hope he can get it back, Clark I dont know what to make of him being as though I havent seen much of him, but taking reps with the third team cant be good.

Kevin Kolb looked good throwing the ball with the second team he hooked up a couple of times with Curtis so that looks promising, and Marty feels that he's prepared mentally and physically to be a back up.

The highlight of the day Spadaro says was when Asante intercepted Feeley, A.J. Feeley threw the pass, and Samuel jumped up and woofed some at Feeley after making the play. "Didn't you learn last year that you couldn't get a pass in on me?" said Samuel, bringing the whole team to laughter. Even head coach Andy Reid chuckled on that one. Samuel, of course, had two interceptions, one for a touchdown return and one in the end zone to kill a drive in the end zone late in the game to deny the Eagle the upset bid in a late-season game in New England.

Vincent Says Andy Is Making The Same Mistake

Ashley Fox reports that Troy Vincent says Andy Reid is making the same mistake he did when he had Vincent, Taylor and Harris. He said that this kind of situation with Reid is becoming repetitive, and that he Al, and Bobby talked things out among themselves. All though Reid compared this current situation to the one he had with Harris, Taylor, and Vincent, it really isnt. Taylor and Vincent were already established pro-bowl guys, and Harris was a rookie so he knew his role. This is different these guys have all been to the pro-bowl and have been starters, Harris wasnt, so how is Reid going to manage this situation? Here's what Ashley Fox suggested if it hasnt already happened, Here's what Reid should have done after signing Samuel to that monster contract in February and what he must do tomorrow when the Eagles' minicamp begins (if he didn't do it tonight after the team convened): Sit down with Sheppard, Brown and Samuel and honestly discuss how this three-man rotation of veteran corners will work. Explain his expectations to each player. Listen to their concerns and gripes. Don't be averse to conflict. Communicate.

I hope this doesnt turn into a T.O. situation by the time training camp begins. I dont want any disruption before and during the season. This is going to be interesting in the coming months. Here are a few quotes from Vincent on the situation

1"Good managers and great coaches sit them down," Vincent said. "These are grown men. It's good to talk about it. You're a better football team with all three, but you're not a better football team with all three and one or two aren't happy with the situation.

2."It's not about pampering," said Vincent, whose second term as NFL Players Association president ended earlier this year. "Guys want the truth. Speculation? It's tough to come to work under those conditions. You put a lot of people at risk, and I know that's not Jeffrey Lurie's intention or Joe Banner's intention. They're spending big money to build the franchise and win games, not to have guys constantly at odds with the head man.

3. "This is becoming repetitive."

In addition to Lito being unhappy, there are reports that Sheldon is also very unhappy per trenton times.

In addition to Lito Sheppard, CB Sheldon Brown is also disgruntled with the Eagles and Coach Andy Reid.

Brown is unhappy with the way the Eagles have handled their offseason moves, starting with the signing of Asante Samuel. Brown is also angered that he and Sheppard were "lied to" by Reid over an unspecified issue. Finally, according to Brown, many players are not happy with the message the team sent by trading away its first-round pick last weekend for an extra one in 2009.

Good Things From Day One Of Mini-Camp

Yes they're not hitting and tackling everyone was exited about the rookies and vets practice in the 1st day of camp. I think we're going to have a good team this year from what Spads is saying about the 1st day we cant fully judge anything until we see the guys get some hits in. Here are a few things Spads observed in the 1st day, now I'm not taking his word for gospel, but some of the things he's saying seem very promising.

1. I know it's early, and I promise not to go overboard before the pads go on -- once the pads are on, anything is possible! -- but I will say that DeSean Jackson has handled himself very well so far. He says the right things. He is cordial and polite. He looks great on the field. I'm impressed.

2.Lorenzo Booker moved around the formation a lot -- as a halfback, as a fullback and split out wide -- and he didn't seem to make a lot of mistakes. He caught the ball very well and showed great quickness and a good burst.

3. King Dunlap is a huge guy. I thought he showed good footwork at left tackle working against Smith in team drills. Winston Justice played right tackle when I saw him on the field, by the way.

Bush Gag Order Request Denied

As you may or may not remember Reggie Bush is being sued in a civil suit by one of the guys that help finance his failed sports marketing company. The trial is set to being in march of 09, New Era Sports & Entertainment financier Lloyd Lake has charged in the suit that he contributed to the approximately $300,000 in benefits Bush allegedly received from the would-be marketers while playing at USC. Lake is seeking approximately $300,000 in damages. Bush later chose to be represented by marketing agent Mike Ornstein. You can click the link and read the rest.

Marvin Harrison Involved In Shooting At His Bar?

Dont know much about this story it's breaking news on NFL LIVE, apparently Harrison had been involved in an altercation with a guy that had been giving him problems for quite sometime. I guess this time he had enough of the guy, the guy said Marvin has hands like a ninja, so he beat this guys ass pretty bad. The gun involved is registered to Marvin, he has 25 registered guns in his name, its a custom made gun from Belgium which fires 50 Cal bullets. Police are saying there is a witness that is willing to finger Harrison as the shooter this guys has a lawyer and says that he was shot in the shoulder. Marvin hasnt been charged with anything, right now everything is alleged.

What Are You Looking For At Mini-Camp And Beyond?

Today is the first day of the mandatory post draft mini camp, what are you guys looking for as PE.com starts their coverage? Yeah I know there's no pads and no hitting, but its still something to watch. The rookies of course, to see if they can keep up with the new fast paced environment that is the NFL. And the vets to see how much they've remained in shape. Its a critical time for the rookies to see if they can keep pace with the vets after all these kids are here to take someones job, and I'm sure the vets arent going to keel over and give that up. There's always talk of that rookie wall, which almost every player experiences. So that's something to watch, and then there's the vets and out of those vets are the former walking wounded. That mean Ryan Moats, Jerome McDougle. After that there's the Long-Shots to make the team players, you can add Moats to that list too, Bam Childress, Tanard Davis, and Booker.

Position battles well it goes like this Wide Receiver, Tight End, and Running Back. All of these positions are crowded and it will be very interesting to watch in the up-coming months. Wide Receiver Crowded, Curtis which I said in my last post for a guy that never played in WCO before becoming an Eagle he surprised the Sh*t outta me. And then there's the rest Reggie Brown which should've emerged last year, being as though at WR your third year is when your declared a bust of as I like to say the "truth". But I cant label Reggie either simply because you cant argue with a a guy that had 61 catches, scoring four touchdowns on 780 yards and a 12.8 average. Then there's Avant, Baskett, and Lewis, I'll group these guys, because if I evaluated them as individuals the would suck, shit as a group they suck. Here are their stats: this group just made 52 catches last season, bad numbers for any wide receiver. Greg Lewis had 13 catches for 265 yards and three touchdowns. Jason Avant had 23 catches for 267 yards and two touchdowns. Hank Baskett had 16 catches for 142 yards and one touchdown.

Now on to the Running Backs we have B-West, Buck, Booker, Hunt, Moats. Like I said Moats is the odd man out, unless he has a training camp of immeasurable proportions, it's going to be interesting to see how he comes back from the broken ankle. Then you have Hunt that has to learn how to pick up the blitz so does Moats btw. Booker I dont know much about but he has a lot learn in Andy's complicated version of the WCO.

Last position Tight Ends, Brent Celek did a nice job filling in for L.J. but we all know Little John Smith is the starter, and Celek figures to be the back up, so who's the third guy? Is it Schobel or Wilson?

Okay Barkers let me know what you think, give me your 08 opening day roster for the SB bound Philadelphia Eagles, yeah I said it if ya have a problem with that Kick Rocks and go jump into the Schuylkill head first.
