Anderson Stays

Derek Anderson is the first to sign on the dotted line

Cleveland Makes offers to Lewis and Anderson

No doubt keeping these guys from free-agency will go a long way to making the Browns competitive next season. There was no word as of yet about dollar figures or lengths, but I'm sure Browns fans are hopeful.

I, for one, think they should cut the cord on Derek Anderson and get draft picks, but I'm a believer in Brady Quinn, mostly cause he had Chuck Weiss. Weiss's other QB he developed - Tom Brady.

Top 10 People that should get CUT (or Traded I guess)

Here it is, the top 10 list of people that should be cut/traded/beaten/your choice. You've seen the studs, here's everyone on the other side of that list.

Honorable Mention: Phillip Rivers, JaMarcus Russell, Donovan McNabb, Warrick Dunn, Ladell Betts, Tatum Bell, Rod Smith, Ahman Green, Ron Dayne.

10. Ricky Williams - C'mon, the guy has Cheech and Chong for roommates. He has to go in at halftime because he has the munchies.

9. Brett Favre - I know you may be the greatest QB of all time, and you almost did the unbelieveable this season, but your time is up and if you really love your team now is the time to step down.

8. Julius Jones - You're just not as good as Marion Barber. 'Nuff said.

7. Donte Stallworth - You just dont belong on that team, buddy, but I think you know that now.

6. Cedric Benson - You were great in college, I know, but the longer your team thinks you will be good in the NFL the longer they will have to rely on their defense to scre more touchdowns than you.

5. Cadillac Williams - I'm sure you are making alot of money and you've only played a few games in your NFL career. I know, I know, you were really good, but there's just too much duct tape holding you together.

4. Matt Leinart - C'mon, you got beat out by Kurt Warner, I don't care if you were injured.

3. Shaun Alexander - Dude, stop clinging to the MVP thing 2 years ago. You can't hack it anymore. You had a hand injury, yet it somehow affected your running? Retire with dignity and let Mendenhall pick up the torch.

2. Daunte Culpepper - I don't even know if you still play but I would cut you anyways.

1. Emmit Smith - You have to be the worst announcer to walk the earth. You're worse than Dennis Miller was. You're worse than Joe Buck. All of you other teammates/coach are doing fine, but hey man, its just not for you. Please please please you have a better chance at playing again than giving insightful information and analysis.

Sucks for Tiki

It must be easy to leave what you think is a sinking ship to go announce. It must be easy to make fun of the coach now that you're gone. It must be easy to take shots at former teammates after they lost a couple games...

What can't be easy is having to swallow the fact that as soon as you leave the team, they become a superbowl contender.

Sure, you led them to a superbowl against the ravens years ago. Sure, it was nice when they had injuries everyone was talking about wanting you back...Well, they don't want you back now.

See ya Tiki, enjoy announcing. You're former team, though they won't win the superbowl this year, is a better team without you.

Looking ahead to 2008 Breakout RBs

For those of us in Keeper/Dynasty leagues, the pressure of choosing the right keeper can be massive. What's more, we're always looking for that darkhorse RB who will come out of the shadows and into Fantasy Dominance next year. Here is a list of players I believe have a chance to be that darkhorse RB in 2008 or 2009. Of course, all of these guys are question marks and many chips would have to fall into place, but who do YOU think has the best chance at being a Fantasy BEAST next year, or even years down the road. Who would YOU keep?

In no particular order:

Chris Henry, RB, Ten: 2007 Rookie backup to Lendale White and Chris Brown. Brown is rumored to be leaving in the offseason, and White may open up his own McDonalds.

Brandon Jackson, RB, GB: 2007 Rookie could have had the starting spot but lost it to Ryan Grant. Many "experts" say Jackson and Grant will still fight for the starting spot next year.

Maurice Morris, RB, SEA: Backup to the failing Shawn Alexander. Already splitting time this season and has played admirably. Rumor is Shawn could be DONE. Is he starter material?

Adrian Peterson, RB, CHI: Not THAT Adrian Peterson, this guy filled in for the abysmal Cedric Benson and splits carries with Garrett Wolfe. Good pass catcher, but is he the total package?

Pierre Thomas, RB, NO: Reggie Bush clearly cannot sustain being the single back in this offense and rumor has it they could move him to a split-end role. Thomas could be the next Deuce but what about Stecker?

Kenny Watson, RB, CIN: Great player when he had the chance. In a timeshare with Rudi Johnson and Kenny Irons is coming off injury reserve in 2008.

Jason Wright, RB, CLE: Fast, physical RB with good vision, but he's behind Jamal Lewis who had a renaissance of sorts this season. Rumor is Jamal could be traded.

So who, if any, has the best shot to be a STUD next year?
