Kevin Garnett has made everyone jump when he said he would like to be traded, right? Phoenix is a place he seems to be interested in and with the recent signing of
Grant Hill and the departure of
Kurt Thomas it makes me wonder if the Suns are trying to get KG. Maybe not right now but before the trade deadline in February. If thats so, it would take a lot more to get him here. Who would be in this package deal for him? The Timberwolves say that they have no interest in
Shawn Marion and I highly doubt the Suns are going to trade the 3 time MVP (you all know he deserved it again)
Steve Nash so that leaves
Amare Stoudemire.
Stoudemire is definitely a good basketball player now and he is still young we have to let him grow into that GREAT player we all know he can be...the question is since the team was so close to winning a championship this past year are they willing to wait on him? Or do they pull the trigger and send him to Minnesota for Garnett?
The Suns would gain a great rebounder and a very solid defender against those big guys (Tim Duncan). Not to mention another offense threat and on top of that someone who gives you everything he has every single night! To get him half way through the season would be ideal so he won't run out of gas come playoff time. But again what would the Suns be losing? Stoudemire can do anything he puts his mind to, he proved that coming off the knee surgeries and bouncing back so strongly. He could be the next
Kevin Garnett...maybe even better also who else would be leaving! To give up that much...for a few years...just doesn't seem worth it in the long run.
