Major League Baseball Television NEtwork

Found this article in the NY Times. MLB is following in the footsteps of the NBA and NFL, but seemed to learn from their mistakes by getting the cable providers in on the act? Do you think this is a good move with all the other stations out there (YES, SNY, NESN, Sorry from the New York area so those are the ones I have at the top of my head) Also has anyone heard when the station may launch?

Vote For Wilbur in '08

EA sports is leaving it up to the fans to deciede what mascot will be on the cover of NCAA 09 for the Nitendo Wii. Wildcat fans... get out there and VOTE! Screw Obama, Hillary and McCain... Wilbur is my choice!

How much worse can it get for Isiah

Just how bad has it gotten for Isiah and the Knicks? Tonight I am watching the WNBC 6 o'clock news and during sports they show a package on how fans are booing Isiah during the games. After the package is over Len Berman says how a camera crew saw the New York Titans Indoor Lacrosse team mascot outside MSG today and asked him if Isiah should be fired.... his answer... an affirmative head nod. So there you have if folks... Knicks fans don't like the coach and now neither do MASCOTS! It's time for Isiah to go and get someone in there that will bring good basketball to New York.

Michael Strahan feels betrayed!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

The NY Daily News is reporting that friends of Michael Strahan are saying he feels betrayed because the Giants are moving on as if he will retire. What!?!?! It should be the Giants who feel betrayed! Last year the "will Tiki retire"... "won't Tiki" retire story dogged the Giants all year long. If Strahan wants to retire then say it. Let the Giants move on because they have a team to run. If he wants this to be his swan song then come out and say... "I'm retiring at the end of the season." The fans deserve better then this. We have enough to worry about in terms of the running game and if Eli will finally earn the money of a number 1 overall draft pick and become the quarterback we all hoped he would be. Strahan is/was a great player... him gone would hurt the team... but the team needs to move on. I guess what I am trying to say is...

Michael... GET OFF YOUR ASS AND MAKE A DEISION!

Abandon Ship! The S.S. Vick is going down!

The problems for Michael Vick keep on piling up. One of his co-defendants is have a plea agreement hearing Monday. It took him less then one day to roll over like a dog (pun filly intended). So how long to we hear what he has to say about Vick and how long till the NFL suspends Vick for the year? I say less then a week. On top of all of that Nike, Reebok, and Donruss are all distancing themselves from Vick. Honestly I haven't seen such a fantastic sinking ship since Titanic. All this story needs now is for a band to be playing as the Falcons cut ties with Vick. Harrington better pay attention during training camp.

God hates the New York Yankees

I have been a New York Yankees fan since I crawled out of the womb. One of my first pictures was of me in a Yankees hat in the hospital. Now that I've got that out of the way... GOD HATES THE YANKEES. I've heard it from non Yankee fans for years... all the problems with the organization. We buy championships... but apparently we can't afford a good strength and conditioning coach. My best friend (A Phillies fan) says he hates the Yankees because you can go to Idaho and see someone in a Yankees hat... so what good marketing! East coast bias... we love to see the mighty fall. But what's happened?

The Yankees now have a starting rotation on the DL... not one or two... FIVE pitchers. I don't even want to talk about Pavano, but what are the chances that two young pitchers get hurt within a game of each other. My theory... someone near the top of the organization sold their soul to the devil for arguably the best line-up in baseball... unfortunately they didn't have the lawyers look at the fine print because the Yankees need to win without pitching. If Pettitte gets hurt they might as well implode the stadium now and wait for the new one to be built.

VA Tech Shootings - Lax Team

MSNBC interviewed a lacrosse player from Va Tech whose former teammate died in these senseless killings. As a former Arizona Wildcat lacrosse player who faced off against Va Tech several times, my thoughts and prayers go out to the team and all those who lost someone. I'm all for the right to have a gun, but I think we need tougher laws... just my thought.

Imus apologized to Rutgers… Now how about the apologies for Duke?

Don Imus has been fired from MSNBC for making racist and sexist remarks. Was it the right thing to do… probably, but that's not for me to decide. He apologized to the Rutgers Womens Basketball team and now they plan to sit down and talk with him.

Now that the three Duke lacrosse players accused of raping a stripper have been cleared when will their apology be coming from Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson, and the countless others who verbally attacked these three kids? Protesters stood outside the lacrosse house calling for everything short of these players' heads.

While neither of the two men went down to Durham they went on the airwaves to talk about the racial injustice of the case. And what happened… an over zealous DA went after three innocent kids and put them through a year of hell. Rapist will always be whispered around the three lacrosse players. A team lost an entire season to allegations. So what happens now?

I guess what it boils down to… whatever happened to being innocent till proven guilty?
