Week 12 NFL Matchup Info

Can't sleep and was thinking about doing this last week so here ya go. I'm a big fan of ProFootballWeekly.com and they have a bunch of "tidbits" about games that they share. I thought I'd pick a few facts/stats from some of the more interesting matchups. I either think they are telling of how the game is going to go, have fantasy value or are just interesting.

Cincinnati at Pittsburgh

CIN 32nd OFF; PIT 1st DEF

T.J. HOUSHMANDZADEH HAS AT LEAST 6 CATCHES IN 8 CONSECUTIVE GAMES AND IS ON PACE FOR ABOUT 117 CATCHES.

Philadelphia at Baltimore

PHI 25th RUN; BAL 3rd VS. RUN

PHI 4th PASS; BAL 8th VS. PASS

PHI IS 1-4 IN THE SECOND OF BACK-TO-BACK ROAD GAMES SINCE 2005.

Carolina at Atlanta

ATL 12th PTS; CAR 3rd PTS ALLOWED

ATL 15th PASS; CAR 5th VS. PASS

ATL QB MATT RYAN HAS THROWN 5 TDS AND JUST 1 INT AT HOME.

Indianapolis at San Diego

IND 6th PASS; SD 32nd VS. PASS

IND HAS ALLOWED A LEAGUE-LOW 2 TD PASSES THIS SEASON.

IND QB PEYTON MANNING HAS 7 TDS AND 0 INTS IN THE LAST 3 GAMES.

N.Y. Jets at Tennessee

NYJ 2ND PTS; TEN 1ST PTS ALLOWED

TEN HAS ALLOWED 5 SACKS.

ONLY 1 OPPONENT HAS SCORED MORE THAN 17 POINTS AGAINST TEN.

New England at Miami

MIA 8TH OFF; NE 12TH DEF

MIA 3RD TO/TA; NE 15TH TO/TA

MIA HAS ALREADY WON 5 MORE GAMES THAN IT WON IN 2007.

N.Y. Giants at Arizona

NYG 1st RUN; ARI 7th VS. RUN

ARI 2nd PASS; NYG 2nd VS. PASS

ANQUAN BOLDIN AND LARRY FITZGERALD COMBINED FOR 23 RECEPTIONS AND 337 YARDS VS. SEA LAST WEEK.

Green Bay at New Orleans

GB 4th PTS; NO 24th PTS ALLOWED

NO 1st PASS; GB 3rd VS. PASS

NO HAS YET TO WIN CONSECUTIVE GAMES THIS SEASON.

Blazers down Spurs at Rose Garden

Wow what a game. It really could have gone either way.

Talk about the exact opposite of the LAL game. Instead of looking flat footed, they were going after EVERY loose ball like the game depended on it (and as it turned out, they all did). Roy looked like... well... ROY! Such a good decision maker, and I think he's going to only improve this season with the new weapons he's got around him. One of those weapons being Nic Batum. He had a HUGE mark on this win, now I see why Nate wanted to start this guy over Outlaw. Seemed like Outlaw was trying a little too hard. Almost looked like he was trying to keep pace with Nic, but everyone is going to have some off games. But he did get to the line and convert which was a huge edge for the Blazers.

If Brandon Roy was the conductor, L.A. was playing 1st fiddle. Not his usual shooting percentage but he made shots when he NEEDED to, which is a great sign. He seemed unfazed whether it was a miss or a make. Dude just wanted the ball.

Lots of other points to this game: Pop's beard is disgusting (not a bad look if you're on a deserted island), Roy vs. Roger Mason, Oden back in street clothes (staying positive though), Rudy can rebound, Frye looked energized (how about that dunk!), Parker/Duncan are maybe the best guard/big combo in the league, and oh yea... RIP CITY WAS ROCKING.

Finley should have made that last shot, but I'm glad we got treated instead of tricked tonight.

LIST: My draft predictions - I want that Oden jersey BAAAAD!

I really want that signed greg oden jersey!
