Buzz surounding the Knicks front office suggests that the Knicks have interested in potentially available 2 guard of the
Chicago Bulls Ben Gordon. With the #1 pick the Bulls selected, point guard,
Derrick Rose out of Memphis to create a crowded backcourt with Rose, Gordon,
Kirk Hinrich,
Larry Hughes, JamesOn Curry, and
Thabo Sefolosha.
There has been some specualtion about what they would do and at first it appeared they would just trade
Kirk Hinrich who has played subpar point guard and allow
Derrick Rose to start full-time. There were reports that there was a trade involving Hinrich and
Drew Gooden for
Zach Randolph, however, this would not work as Hinrich is signed till 2012 adding cap space past 2010 something the Knicks do not want with
LeBron James and Dwayne Wade free agents among others that the Knicks would want.
The word is that the Knicks wanted to replace Kirk Kinrich with
Ben Gordon for a sign and trade, but then talks pretty much came to a stop. The Knicks will desperately be trying to get rid of Randolph so keep on eye on that situation and David Lee for
Raymond Felton as possible trades the Knicks may try to undergo.
