Draft Predictions Anyone?

We're all ancy, caught in the midst of post free agency stress disorder and pre draft potential anxiety..

The fact of the matter is, there are positions that will most certainly be addressed in this years draft for the Philadelphia Eagles..

Anyone have any thoughts on perhaps how they would like things to unfold?

Here is my most realistic take on how things could potentially end up..

Round 1: Kenny Phillips S, The U

Round 2: Anthony Collins LT, Kansas

Round 3: Earl "the pearl" Bennett, Vandy

Heres one of the more active mocker sites, not the most credible..

but always a good read

Goodbye Brett, Thanks For The Memories

Arguably the greatest QB to ever play the game, retires today after 17 NFL seasons and 3 MVP trophies to his name. Favre was a super bowl champion and a hell of a teammate. Battling off-the-field problems over his extensive NFL tenure, Brett showed his courageous nature and made his team around him better. I feel blessed to be around to watch his entire career and watch him grow. I was fortunate to meet Favre years ago, and it was refreshing to see that he was such a normal guy, stand-up guy everyday guy. We will miss you Brett, thanks..

What's in store for Lito?

With the tremendous signing of Asante Samuel, many fans are left wondering what is to come for veteran and longtime eagles cornerback Lito Sheppard? I've heard rumors of a deal to NE, rumors of a deal to AZ, i've even heard rumors of bumping right corner Sheldon Brown to play the SS position where some feel he is more suited as it is.. What are some of your thoughts?

Mendenhall Could Move Up After Strong Showing At Combine

University of Illinois' standout RB Rashard Mendenhall is easily one of the most impressive back's in this year's draft. Many believe he will be either the 2nd or 3rd back taken in the 08' draft. With McFadden's proven explosiveness at the NFL combine, i would say it's safe to say he definitely won't be the first. But ever since his impressive performance in the Rose Bowl, despite the Illini's disappointing loss Mendenhall's stock has continued to rise. With a combination of size and speed, Mendenhall certainly passes the look test. It will be interesting to see if Oregon's big bodied back Jonathan Stewart will be selected ahead of him or not..

Any feeling on trading up in the draft to snag Mckelvin?

With rumors coming every which way about Asante Samuel, it is hard to decipher what to believe.. But multiple reports are surfacing linking him to New Orleans and Tampa and it seems less and less likely that Philly will make a big play for the former Pats CB.. With talks of Gibril Wilson in the works, that would certainly help our secondary immensely.. However we are still going to need a solid Nickel who can step in at any moment and be our guy.. Who knows what to think about Lito right now, and Joselio ain't the answer.. A guy like Troy State's Leodis Mckelvin who has proven to be not only one of college football's most electrifying players, but has been well noted for his surprisingly physical play.. Mckelvin would patch up the corner situation perfectly and did i mention that he is a stud returner.. Something that, (lets face it Philly fans) we haven't had in quite a while..

Just a thought, any feedback?
