Its Voting Day, Who Is Your Choice For Champions?

Yes we all no it is November 4th and that means that today is the day to vote. Now i know my site is not popular or looked at often but if your reading this and you havent voted yet get out and vote this is a big year.

This is a sports blogging network so lets move on to sports.

First the NBA, who do you think will win the championship? There is the obvious picks the Celtics and Lakers. Who can we throw into the pot? How about the Spurs, Hornets, Pistons with newly aquired AI, Cavs, Suns, Mavs, Magic, well.... I could keep going on and on but there is alot of good teams out there and how do we really know how to pick when stars emerge by the week. I love the NBA and everything about that and whoever you think will win it is your opinion and your entitled to it. So what team will you choose, there is alot of talented teams but is there one team that will overshadow them all to the title?

My Decision NBA: Los Angeles Lakers Runner Up: Boston

That might seem like the popular choice but if none of the players on either team digress so heavily that they cant come back it seems like a good pick. Not to say the other teams dont have a chance and other teams you should keep a look out on are the Hornets, Pistons, Cavs, and the Mavs. The Mavs all though you could make a case for them being to old or not as good as some other teams I think Jason Kidd will settle in nicely and really help this team out well. My surprise team for the year is the Grizzlies. Hey, say what you want to say but they have a boat load of talent with stars like Rudy Gay and Mike Miller. You got young studs like OJ Mayo, Mike Conley, Kyle Lowry and even the man the Lakers gave up for his brother Marc Gasol. Its a long season and dont rule out any team just yet, after all they are NBA players and you never know what your gonna get.

Secondly, the MLB. Yes baseball just ended and yes it might be too early to predict what it will look like next year with names like CC Sabathia, Mark Texeira, AJ Burnett, Ben Sheets, and Manny Ramirez out there just waiting to be payed. Now if the Yankees make a run and get two of the top pitchers out there, including peavy out on the trade market, to go along with a Mark Texeira or Manny Ramirez your looking at a potentionally deadly team. Yes they were bad this year and yes this would be doing the same thing that has failed for 8 years but some time it has to pay off. We all know what the other teams are capable of and the Rays last year made a good point to everyone dont rule anybody out, sometime every team has to break out and begin to win and the Rays are a prime example of that. The Phillies did great this year and its cool to see them win a championship but I dont think they can do it two in a row, I feel they just were on that year were all the elite teams were all having really rocky years, including the Red Sox. Yea they had most of their players and still lost and yes most of them played but were they healthy? No. Josh Beckett just wasnt himself he was dealing with all types of injuries the whole year, JD Drew one of their better players throughout this year was getting injured on and off as well. To add another key member to that list Mike Lowell he wasn't there most of the year and with that big contract they gave him he would have been nice to have their manning that third base.

My pick World Series Champs: Red Sox w/ Texeira, Yankees w/ CC and Texeira. Runners Up: Cubs

Now you might think im saying Yankees because I am a fan of the Yankees wrong I think there is alot of factors that play into and I think the Yankees need more than just one piece to throw them over the top, CC and Texeira. If they can get both of these guys I don't think anybody comes in their way considering they will probably have someone along the lines of Derek Lowe or AJ Burnett to be added into the rotation as well. I know the Yanks got money and I also know that singing Manny Ramirez is something that they would often do but I just dont think they do it, why? I just dont believe they will do it because I think Cashman wants to see some of the young guns fight there way up there. Hey I know the Yankees front office is stupid and who would disagree but if they do this I don't know what category they'd fall into. I said all the Red Sox had to do was take Texeira off the market for theirselves and they would win I believe this because they are that good of a team that any elite player added put them over the top. They got money and why not try to spend it on an upgrade whose young. I like the Cubs and although they are cursed and it will be another year to mark down on the World Series drought when they get there I think they at least get within a taste of that world series only to get the trophy ripped from the grasp by the Yankees or Red Sox.

Lastly, the NFL. Superbowl time. Who do I think will win the Super Bowl? Well there is a lot of great teams out there as usual and also a lot of teams out there yet to live up to their capabilities. You really can't go completely wrong picking anyone in the NFC East to win the superbowl and why not its the toughest division in football. You also can't go wrong with picking a team like the Titans who happened to be undefeated to win the superbowl. Don't rule out some of the great teams from years past like the Chargers because even though they are struggling they one of the most dangerous teams in the land.

Super Bowl Winner: Titans Super Bowl Runner-up: New York Giants

As much as I hate to admit it I think the Giants do make it back but I also think its just one of those years like in the Phillies case that all the elite teams just dont have it for various reasons and thats why I think the Titans win. Off the field problems, injuries, players not liking the position they are in are just a few cases. I am not convinced with the Cowboys, I dont know how Romo is going to be when he comes back I just dont and I dont know how hes gonna manage to get it to Roy Williams and TO and all the other receivers to help keep everyone in good spirits. I am an Eagle fan and I think the Eagles will make a good run for it but I don't think that they have enough to get to the top. In other cases there is so many question marks with other teams that I don't have enough time to begin and some of those question marks might work in a good way. I am really at a loss for this football season but in the end the team who plays together the best ends up on top and in a year like this I don't know who is going to be there at the end.

Now its your turn, who are you winners and runners up? Who do you think is overrated or underrated? Its a big year in sports and a big year for America so why not vote for who you the fans of sports think is the winners of each league. Include Hockey if you want I would have chosen the Red Wings because adding Hossa just gives them more fire power that I think is too much for any other teams. Let me know I want to hear what you think. Like the election its your opinion.

A Dynasty In The Making and Beginning Of The NBA Season

Now we all know who your basic front runners are but two still stand tall. The Lakers and Celtics, one thing seperates them for the future. Youth, sure they have great players like Rajon Rondo and Leon Powe and So on... However, if you look at the lookers almost every player that comes off the bench can do great things. Sasha Vujacic can shoot the lights out, Jordan Farmar also a talented shooter is so quick and so talented getting to the rim,

Bynum not much need be said here but for those of you who don't know he is now stronger and has made big time improvements. He has added a nice new thing to his repatouir a 10 foot jumpshot. Now I know thats not all that incredible but for a young man who came here as a skinny teenager with alot of work it is a really big improvement. This jump shot enables him to be more versatile and not stationary at all times on the block and still be effective. He is one of the top blockers in the league and defending big man. His offense does need work but little touches here and there and you are looking at one of the top players in the future of this league.

Trevor Ariza has gotten so much better over the off-season he has been working as hard as possible to improve his game and has done so by adding the three point shot. There was question to who should be the starting SF on the Lakers and for now its Vladimir Radmonavich, tomorrow who knows. The seperation between these two players was three point shooting, coach Phil Jackson wanted a player who could stretch the d in hopes to get the big man better shots and to free the Black Mamba, Kobe Bryant. Now I don't think Trevor will add up to Vladi's three point touch but if he can get it up to above average your looking at him taking over the small forward. He is crazy athletic, he plays great d, he gets to the rim, he jumps to high for anyone else but Josh Smith, and is still only 23.

I do not think I need to go all out on players like Kobe Bryant, Lamar Odom and Pau Gasol we all know what they are capable of doing, however know this about Pau he will be only 28 this year. Luke Walton, im not a big fan however having him as a 4th string SF at times is incredible. He is one of the top passers in the league and has decent shooting, but this year the way they kind of abandoned the triangle offense this year you will not need someone like Luke too often.

The Lakers have alot of off-season decisions to make, re-signing Kobe Bryant, Lamar Odom and Trevor Ariza will be there biggest task at hand, but most of them realize this year is the best chance some of them might get in there careers and need to make it worthwhile and worry about that next year. Most of them keep saying, "when I get on the court it'll take care of itself." If they do not re-sign Kobe which is highly unlikely considering the pot of teams he could go to are both few and not very good. Lamar Odom has a better chance of going, but in the end I believe he will want to stay there and if he doesn't watch the Lakers closely in free agency to see what they do to re-fill that hole.

With all the Lakers talk beginning this already long post lets get to the NBA season. Now up front so I do not need to say more I think the Lakers are the favorites and the Celtics the second favorites. We have seen already great things from rookies, young players, and veterans. Derrick Rose I wrote about how I was not overly impressed by him and that he was a bad pick, but turns out I like this guy alot more than I did before. He looks stronger and he looks like he improved his handeling big time. His driving ability is very good and he is strong enough to go through the lanes and other bigger players. The Celtics have been very impressive this year so far, taking down LeBron James and the Cavaliers, and then killing Derrick Rose and the Bulls. I do not see LeBron's Cavs that big of a contender I think LeBron needs a partner in crime and thus far does not have one. The Cleveland Cavaliers are one player short of being a really incredible team. O.J. Mayo looked real impressive scoring 17 points and I wrote in an earlier post how he would be the rookie to make the biggest impact and that I though he could end up to be the best player in that draft. I do still believe that and I think him and Derek Rose are two great players in the making. Michael Beasley has not looked all that impressive, I was looking for bigger numbers from him and all though we are only two games in I can kind of see what he's like. Not to say there is no room for him to be a great player or even the best player from this class, he is very talented and has alot of room to grow.

Greg Oden, I love you home boy but the fact that I never got to see you play a whole game I can not say much. I am very dissapointed to see him go down, but that being said I do think he is extremely talented, defensively. Offensively there is alot he needs to improve on. Charles Barkley said it best when he said all the highlights I see of him are dunks I never see him do anything besides that. I watched the Lakers vs. the Blazers the other day on TNT and I saw alot of what he was talking about. Most of the shots he took were hook shots and not dunks. He could not get around Bynum enough to dunk it. He finished that game scoreless and even from just his first game you could see alot of what you need to improve on and what you can take back as being good.

I would have chosen Durant with that top spot, but I can see why the blazers took Oden. Durant can rebound really well, score at crazy rates and does not have that bad of defense, but lets face it he is a little bit thin to be a power forward and if he can fill out more I see him being dominant.

Now I did not to get to go in too many things today and about this NBA season but I did get some things out of the way. The NBA season is young and there is so much time left to be proven wrong and to be right. My opinions don't go on TV, they do not get sent to the players, and heck they are not even read that often but I think having an opinion and getting it out there can help lead to something great. These players started just like all of us and every day there is talented kids being born and stars in the making. For every year of talent there will always be a bust. We need to keep an open mind about each season and hope that something great happens or that we see a breakout star.

COMMENT POST IT UP YOUR OPINION MATTERS TO ME. LET ME KNOW.

LET'S CAUSE SOME CONTROVERSY!!!!!!

Yea we all know this, its the off-season and yes the Yankees still do have money, but maybe spending on a free agent wouldn't be the best move.

Let's cause some controversy.

As a Yankee fan we are waiting to see another great young slugger belt some homers into the upper decks in that short right field. Let's say this, if you managed to watch the home run derby or at least so highlights of it don't you think we want some of that there. No I don't mean home run derby's every year, I mean Josh Hamilton. He is still so young, yea he did drugs, yea he's had problems. A-Rod has problems all the time thats what stardom is all about. Look at some important numbers on josh.

1. He is only 28

2. He hit 28 Home Runs in1 round in the Yankee Stadium Home Run Derby

3. He hit 32 Home Runs last year

4. He had a .304 average, which would have been at the top of the Yankees list

5. He had 130 RBI's more than any Yankee last year.

6. He has one of the top 5 strongest arms in the league and would patrol the outfield beautifully

7. He had a .558 SP one of the top in the AL

8. His Texas Ranger's ball park is 10 ft. bigger than Yankee Stadium's

9. He threw 96 mph in high school

10. He was the 1st pick overall and considered to be one of the greatest prospects of all time.

I was fortunate enough to see Josh at the only game I went to in Yankee Stadium this year on July 2nd. No he didn't do anything miraculous, but as I watched him play that center field I could not help but think of how great it would be to have someone like him back there.

So if you want him what do you have to give up? I'll tell you what a 28 year old this good I don't think you could give up and I don't think they will, but lets say they are willing to give him up if they get enough in return. How about Austin Jackson, Phil Hughes, Ian Kennedy, and Melky Cabrera. No, no, thats the Yankee's future. So how about re-signing Bobby Abreu and throwing him in the deal. Bobby Abreu, Ian Kennedy, Melky Cabrera and Austin Jackson. But they don't want Jackson in there, I know it so.... Bobby Abreu, Robinson Cano, and Ian Kennedy, with a possibility of one Melky Cabrera getting added in.

What do you say do you do it? no. As good as Josh Hamilton is the Yankees don't feel like giving up their future just like this, they don't want to. As great as a package as it could end up being for Josh Hamilton, I think he is just too good and the fans love him. He puts up great numbers. Now i'm sure some people might be saying, why would you give up this much for Hamilton? Well because he is just that good. I don't think this is a possiblity but I can dream cant I.

LIST: Top Five Up And Coming Studs of the NBA

Hope you all like my top 5. Discuss it up tell me who should be wear or if you think someone should be added or dropped. This is my opinion in what i think will be the future of the league. Now i haven't seen Derrick Rose or Michael Beasley so they can not make it quite yet. Josh Smith if I had a sixth spot would have been in. He is a FREAK OF NATURE Athlete. He jumps out of the gym and blocks anything that is in the air. You try to cross him up he will steal it and dunk all over that poor rim. If not for his shooting skills being not quite there, he would have been in. I like this guys future and even though I am dissapointed I can not add in I am convinced that all of these players have a future as bright as the sun.

Yankees Rotation And Fielders

With all the money the Yankees are getting back why not spend it. There is no doubt one of the frontline pitchers will be signed by the Yankees, but who will it be. The Last Game At Yankee Stadium

The final game at Yankee Stadium happened last night and not much to manys surprise they prevailed and took the game 7-3. Before the game they had old timers come out such as Yogi Berra, Whitey Ford, Willie Randolph, Paul O'Neil, and even Bernie Williams, making his first appearance at the House That Ruth Built in 2 years since be un re-signed. The fans gave him a thunderous ovation and to his credit he deserves every bit of it.

As I watch each inning I can not help but think of this place going. From Babe Ruth hitting 60 to fans shouting Reg-gie Reg-gie as he rounds the bases for the third time in one world series game. From Chris Chambliss' walk off and fans pooring the field to President Bush throwing a perfect strike in the wake of 9/11. You can not help but be saddened by thinking of all the great things that happened there and that there will be no more to come.

Many legends have played there including Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig, Joe Dimmagio, Yogi Berra, Mickey Mantle, Roger Maris, Whitey Ford, Don Larsen, Reggie Jackson, Phil Rizzuto, and even the late Bobby Murcer, who was honored this year by the club in what I thought was a great way for such a great guy. The way people look up to these people, the closest things we have to Heroes. Kids and even adults look up to them and watch as there favorite players and team plays there.

I got chills thinking of the closing, watching everything I have watched that took place in that stadium and all those great Yankees Classics. There is no more The House The Ruth Built. Although this figures to be the greatest looking stadium ever it will never add up to the rich history and happening that occured daily at the stadium that so many players have called home. You wont be able to watch TV next year and say this is where Ruth became a legend, this is where Don Larsen threw his perfect game in the world series, this is where Lou Gehrig made his luckiest man in the world speach, or even this is where Bobby Murcer made the fans cheer in the name of Thurman Munson directly after his death. We well never hear anymore holy cows or cyyyaaas, it will all change, as Yankees fans we smile at the site of all the new stadium has to offer but we do that with a frown knowing we lost the heart of our franchise.

Yogi Berra said he was sad to see the place go as all the Yankees greats who once played there are, but he said that he will never forget it or the memories that came with it. Yogi is the most winningest baseball player ever and is one of the most notable people you think about when you are thinking about Yankee Stadium.

The Ghosts that live there, will they follow? The winning, will it continue? Is there anyway that the new stadium has any chance of matching the old one? We will never know I guess. Yankees fans sure hope the ghosts of the babe and lou and even billy will follow and that they continue to be winners and that the new Yankee Stadium can at least partly mirror the old one.

Now on to the game that was the last ever at Yankee Stadium. Alex Rogriguez continues to slump and dissapoints in the final game. Jeter also never reached base, battling through a hand injury suffered in the final inning of Saturday Night's game. The Big Hero Jose Molina. Thats right name that Molina. I was looking for something real meaningful and something that would make the crowd be pleased in the final game other than a win. When Babe Ruth said, "I am only the first to hit it out of Yankee Stadium, God only knows who will hit the last." He probably was not thinking Jose Molina a terrible hitter would be the last. He represents everything Ruth was not and that really did make me angry.

Last Stats For The Final Game At Yankee Stadium:

Last RBI: Robinson Cano

Last Hit: Jason Giambi

Last Run Scored: Brett Gardner

Last Strikeout: Joba Chamberlain

Last Out: Brian Roberts

Last Win: Andy Pettite

Last Home Run: Jose Molina

The New Stadium promises to be the greatest and the state of the art and even though we know it can never have the rich history and the great memories the Old Stadium had there is room for new ones. We hope to have our own new versions of Babe Ruth being Alex Rodriguez and Joe Dimmagio being Derek Jeter or Robinson Cano and Whitey Fords being Joba Chamberlain. We have new versions of the greats. With such young talents as Phil Hughes, Robinson Cano, Phil Hughes, Melky Cabrera, Ian Kennedy, Dave Robertson, Brett Gardner, and those that are coming through the minor league system promises to give us rich new history and legends to come. It has everything we need to build a succesful future and many great things to come.

A Final Note On Yankee Stadium Going

We will never forget those who have passed through and dazzled the fans with there great talents. We will never forget Reggie Jacksons 3 Home Runs to help secure the world series. We won't forget Mickey Mantle and Roger Maris competing to beat Babe Ruth's long time record side by side. We won't forget Tino's grand slam or A-Rods walk off last year against the O's. We will always remember those that we've lost those we have just come up short and those we have won. We will not forget the 26 times we won the World Series or Lou Gehrig's speech when he was dying of ALS. We won't forget the pope visiting or the greatest football game ever played. We will always remember no matter what stadium we are in or how many generations we live on. We will pass down the legacy that is Yankee Stadium and that is The House That Ruth Built. Here is to you Babe Ruth for being the main reason for the creation of the greatest stadium ever built. You and all of the other legends will always be in our hearts as we as New York Yankees and Yankee Fans will live on fighting and remembering everything that is the real Field Of Dreams, Yankee Stadium, The House That Ruth Built.

YANKEE STADIUM

1923-2008

LIST: Top Ten Current NBA Players

Those who just missed the cut:

Dwight Howard, Allen Iverson, Joe Johson, Josh Smith, Andre Iguodala, Deron Williams, Vince Carter, Tyson Chandler, Carmelo Anthony, Jason Kidd, Steve Nash, Chris Bosh, Pau Gasol, Rasheed Wallace, Rip Hamilton, Chauncey Billups, Ray Allen, Paul Pierce, Michael Redd, Baron Davis, Elton Brand, Carlos Boozer, Shawn Marion and Ron Artest.

Most of those people you can definately make a case for top ten. Dwight Howard., Allen Iverson, Steve Nash, and Chris Bosh were so hard to keep out.

I understand why some people want some of these players in here. You could make a case being a Celtics fan for either Allen or Pierce and winning the title but in my opinion they do not make the cut till around 15.

Iverson, Howard, and Nash were dangerously close to going in my top ten. Dwight was the closest but it is hard to fit everyone in.

Dirk was not an original and I did not want him in there but I felt since he won MVP two years ago it would be wrong to leave him out of the bunch. When you see all of the great players in the league it is hard to just pick ten or even 20 but you gotta love the future going forward with the NBA. Most of the top ten are still so young and I am sure there will be another player real shortely breaking out as a dominant force.

For now this is what mine looks like. Who knows what the future holds, this is a great league with great talent. A star is born every day and who knows who it will be, it could be anybody.

Nady, Marte Traded

The Pittsburgh Pirates have reportedly traded Xavier Nady and Damaso Marte to the New York Yankees for pitcher Ross Ohlendorf top outfield prospect Jose Tebata, pitching prospect Phil Coke and pitching prospect George Kontos.

I am a little bit sad to see Jose Tebata go but he is surrounded by trouble. He always gets into it and often times does not play to his potential. Scouts have said about Tebata sometimes he plays so lazy and sometimes he plays great and is getting to every ball.

This was a great deal for the Yankees. Ross Ohlendorf does not mean anything to me. All he did was give the other team runs and does not pitch to his potential.

The other two players involved have yet to see any major league action but the stats they had in the minor leagues were not to flattering.

This is a huge deal and what they gave i can not wait to find out. Today Xavier Nady started for the Pirates and was removed in the first inning. Damaso Marte was seen hugging his teammates in the locker room.

This is huge for the Yankees, how big for the pirates we will find out what they gave up probably tonight. If in fact it is the Yankees it will give them two things they were looking for a good hitting corner outfielder and a reliever.

This deal shocked me, to tell you the truth i thought the Yankees would back out of Nady but the Pirates later said that the original asking price for Nady was not so high any more and thats where the Yankees jumped on it.

Incredible, a word to describe the trade. This should if its minor leaguers we gave up be a great deal that will propell the Yankees over the top and help them win the AL East.

Yankees On A Roll

Its suddenly happening again. Yea i want to see something happen in the trade market, but if we keep winning why change a thing. Latest Rumor conscerning the Yankees, they are interested in Bronson Arroyo, hate him. Yes he has pitched well the last 5 or 6 games but i dont want him. The man used to have cornrows and hes white, not to mention he played for the Red Sox. OK the Johnny Damon thing happened too but we needed an outfielder and as bad as we need a pitcher he is not worth it.

Two other people the New York Yankees are interested in is David DeJesus and Jarrod Washburn, I like DeJesus but i dont think we need to go for Washburn.

When Joba moved from the bullpen to the starting roll everyone said it would ruin the bullpen and is a worse position for him. He has pitched incredible and just as well as i thought he would.

One big guy that has produced so great this year Edwar Ramirez, this has been one of the lockdown players. He has one of the top change-ups in the league and has been practically unstoppable.

I hate him but i must admit he has been doing better the last 12 games or so. Kyle Farnsworth finally performing. I'm still not ruling out buying the "Anybody But Farnsworth" Shirt.

A player struggling would be Jose Veras he is starting to give up big leads and working his way into trouble.

The Player On The Rise To Watch: David Robertson a young rookie who has a great arm and has been showing great stuff. He is not overpowering but gets people out with craftiness.

I am really impressed with this kids Minor League numbers were great and he is playing almost as great in the majors. Watch Out For Him he could be great and I mean real soon.

Person In The Minors To Watch: Jesus Montero, He is a young catcher who hits for great offensive numbers and is one of the great minor leaguers right now. Watch him he hits way better than average for a catcher and can develope into something special.

Back to the run that they are on. They Have won 10 straight at home and have done great as of late. Some smaller named guys have stepped up big but the man they thought would have great numbers not only but from the beginning would be Robinson Cano. Of course Robbies numbers were not great in the beginning but he has turned it on as of late. They have won 6 straight all together and are winning handidly. Look down the list from damon to molina everyone has been producing. Bobby Abreu and Alex Rodriguez are on a tair driving in runs like its their job.

What i think is to come for the future: Good things to come, they will finish with a very respectable record and finish second in the AL East. Yes they will pass the Rays Boston is too good team wise that they dont break. I think the Yankees will put up a great fight in the wild card to not only the Tampa Bay Rays but another surprise who is yet to be seen yet.

Finishing Record: This is a tough one i think it will be around the same as it is. I would say 94 wins which should be good enough to take the wild card.

Playoff Outcome: They will get eliminated in the first round as they usually do, but in a different outcome. I expect Alex Rodriguez to perform well and come off last years playoffs which he underperformed but finally hit a home run and perform great.

MVP Of The Second Half: Robinson Cano. It is close between Derek Jeter and Robbie but i believe Robbie comes out with the better numbers. I think Cano will end up hitting around .291 for the year and Jeter will hit around .307.

MVP Of The Year: Alex Rodriguez. The guy has missed 17 games and he still competes among league leaders in most statistacle categories. I see him getting 38 Home Runs with a .310 average and 136 RBI's, all very respectable.

Half Year CY Young: Mike Mussina, the man has all but crushed every expectation. He has 13 wins with a very solid era. I was shocked to see this man pitch this well. At the beginning of the year me and my freind would go over how it was and automatic loss everytime he pitched. Lets face it he was terrible last year, but he came back strong refinding his stuff.

Second Half Cy Young Prediction: I think if they gave one the second half cy young would go to Joba Chamberlain. He usually never gives more than two runs and his transformation from bullpen to starter has worked out incredible. It is causing all of the relievers to pitch better including Kyle Farnsworth. I see Joba ending with around 8 wins and 4 losses.

Full Year Cy Young: Mike Mussina again. I see him getting 18 wins and 8 losses. I expect him to continue his dominance this year and pitch with his great veteran poise.

Biggest Dissapointment: Ian Kennedy. I think you have potential to be a-- game winner but as for now Ian im sorry im dissapointed. He wins Minor League Pitcher Of The Year and is terrible in the MLB. Phil I think you can still come back this year and if we make the playoffs still give us something.

Biggest Surprise: Is there any question who this was? Jason Giambi the once powerhouse, the last year dissapointment and 4 years before that and all 4 of those years. He has played great giving us the power surge we looked for when we signed him. "The Power Of The Stache" is something that works for him I guess. I expect Jason to end up with 31 Home Runs and a .264 average.

Those are my predictions, players to watch, awards given, dissapointments, and anything else I picked. Thank you for viewing and please leave a comment.

Marcus Williams on the Move?

Point Guard of the future.

Heir to the throne.

The next great Net.

All things to explain the role once filled by Marcus Williams as he followed Jason Kidd. He is on the Move. Shipped him out to Golden State for a lottery pick in 2011. I am shocked. I cant lie. Devin Harris is great but them two would have worked great in the future. I cant believe it but the Nets clearly are looking to fill a void that we do not know about yet.

There is not much else to say but I will leave it to this. Williams Harris would have been a great combo that would have been a force to be wreckened with. The Nets do not make much sense to me anymore. If I were Vince Carter right now i wouldnt know what to think id be confused and think I was next.

What do you think?

One Big Bat = One Big Run, Yet Again....

New York, New York. What will they think of next. Hey folks Matt Eisenman here and im about to talk about the New York Yankees. I know some Boston Red Sox fan will probably say something and i dont blame them I would get tired of it too. Here it goes. The Yankees need one big bat to help them get one big run, hense the name of the article. What Big Bat do they need, or should i say who do they need because it cetaintly isnt a Louiville Slugger they could trade a player for ten of those. Xavier Nady the big name on the block from the Artist formally known as the Pittsburgh Pirates.

Well the question who do they have to give up to get a player who is making a great name for himself. The bigger question who do they have to give up?

Frankly I am tired of giving up young talent but who would they want. Give them Ian Kennedy Johnny Damon and someone else crappy. What ever we have to do to get it done that doesnt include giving away a young star. Another person they should consider is Mark Texeira. He is young has better mobility than Giambi and would be a good fit at first base and fill the bat void. He would be a good fit. To think the San Francisco Giants were thinking of trading Tim Lincecum for Matsui at the beginning of the season I don't think so anymore.

Lets get this straight as a Yankee fan I am not going to settle for Richie Sexson. The man just can't hit anything anymore. If he is supposed to solve are problem Cashman has gone more insane than ever before.

What to do, what to do?

I really couldn't tell you. I'd rather trade younger for younger. I don't like veterans all the time they are so boring. What I think we should do is trade Bobby Abreu away. We will lose him to free agency after the year because we won't want him back so why not get some value from him. All I am saying in a very unclear way is the Yankees could be one big bat away from making yet another impresive run to make the playoffs.

They have options Jason Bay, Xavier Nady, Mark Texeira, heck even Barry Bonds wouldn't hurt. Something is going to happen and it will happen soon when nobody sees it coming. They will end up trading young talent away for a 35 year old pitcher.

That Brian Fuentes stuff should just stop. Quit it, the man is 32 and not getting any younger. For a reliever that is old and they don't have alot of baseball life left in them. Please anyone wishing to inquire a Brian Fuentes or Damaso Marte if thats even his name should look in the mirror and be like what am i doing. Fuentes ill give him credit he is doing great but not worth a young player who has a chance to give you more and be there for a longer time.

I really do not know what is going to happen. I think it will get real interesting by the last day and very shortely. If Ray Durham is the last big thing ill be shocked. The Yankees have alot of chips to play with they just don't know how much to put in. Let's not go all in for once lets only bet 1/4 of the pile. Come on Hank it hasn't worked in a while. Just focus on free agency and stop trying to give away more than you should for someone who might be a rental. Save your money for a C.C. Sabathia or a Ben Sheets for next season much more worth it and a better investment.

What do you think the Yankees should do?

What do you think the Yankees will do?

Rookie Most Likely To Dissapoint: Hinrich On The Move?

Sorry Fans of the Chicago Bulls, you made the wrong choice.

Derrick Rose the Number One Overall pick in the 2008 NBA Draft is the most likely to dissapoint of all the others. Well he does have an advantage right away from being number one but i think you might find after the year is done that Beasley should have been the number one. Think about it a star beast is what they need. They have the most talent from the guard position of anywhere now but that poses a problem because you have great young players already. Sure Benny G might not resign but if he did it would just be too much. Rose, Gordon, Hinrich, and not to mention the highly underrated Hughes. Ok they have alot of people like beasley but no right away stud scorers. To tell you the truth i dont know what they could have done but everywhere seems crowded and just because Rose is a Chicago native doesnt mean he should be picked number one. Did you hear Hinrich could be on the run?

Thats whats in right now. They are currently shopping him around and there have been talks between the Nuggets and the Bulls. Hinrich for a pick. They want to clear some salary up. What they plan to do with the salary most likely includes the resigning of Deng or Gordon. Most people are dissapointed in Ben but the guy is the best scorer they have and can shoot almost as good as anybody in the NBA. Deng understand the hype but i'm not entirely convinced.

Back to Rose. Reasons why i think he'll dissapoint. Please go watch highlight tapes now he is not the greatest dribbler in the world. Im sorry but if he wants to be succesful he better handle the ball. Second he is a point guard who shoots free throws like Kwame Brown. Third if he can't hit free throws consitently what would make the Bulls Management think he could hit actual shots on the perimeter or mid range. He is pretty good defensively but there are those quicker on there feet who will give him a whole heap of trouble. If he improves all of this i think he has a chance to be good and ill also be the first one to admit i was wrong. I am sorry I am just not convinced.

Sophmore To Make Biggest Impact

Hey whats up guys back with another article,

Now its on to say what sophmore i feel will make the biggest impact this coming year.

First off the most underrated rookie last year was most definately Al Thorton. This is the guy who i feel in the long run will be the best player in the draft, sure I haven't seen Greg Oden yet, sure I think Kevin Durant is a great and going to be greater player but have you seen the way this guy plays. Hi energy, strong, skilled player with great size and speed, he can handle the ball and also shoot it.

Another guy we saw practicly nothing of last year who happens to play for the Phoenix Suns is named Alando Tucker. Yes i have not watched this man play on an NBA floor yet once. I love this guys potential. If you look at his d-league numbers and yes it is the d-league however still impressive. He scored over 25 points a game and played with versatility. Alando not that this counts for anything at all ends up to be a 99 in NBA live in the future and is the best out of all the players he went in the draft with. Don't comment back on that but i do think he is going to be a great player. He is a player very alike to Thorton. Big skilled player who can score rebound and do multiple things. The Suns have a diamond in the rough and im telling you this right now is the break-out player of the year, that is if he plays.

Those are the sophmores that i feel will have the biggest impact in the coming year. Great picks and I see alot of great surprising players to come this year. This will probably the most surprising year you see. I might be jumping the gun but from looking close at these guys and others and see a big surprising year coming out of the NBA.
