Frontrunners= Phrontrunners

It's amazing how the Phillies Fever has caught on here in the Delaware Valley. Now if your a four for four homer( and maybe not a huge baseball fan), I have no problem with that- please jump on my bandwagon. BUT, I do have a problem with you frontrunner fraud fans who grew up in this area and root against the Eagles, never watch a baseball game and now you refer to the Phillies fan base as "WE". Case in point, I work with this girl who we'll call Stupid Idiot Girl. She was born and raised in South Jersey, has no familial ties to the Dallas, Texas area but nevertheless is a Cowboys Fan. When asked why she would root for a team she has no connection to she replies.." Well at least they have won Superbowls". Frontrunner. She can also name a whole two players on the team. Just take a guess as to who. Long story short- she has NEVER watched a baseball game, let alone a Phils game. But she decided to watch on Monday night because of the immenant(sp?) Championship. She was so mad that it was postponed because "WE" were gonna win! Phrontrunner. People like Stupid Idiot Girl make me sick!! And she is proof of bad parenting. Now, I'm gonna go kick her Mother in the AZZ! Have a nice day! Go Phils!

PHILS FANS-WHAT ARE YOUR SUPERSTITOUS RITUALS?

The Angelo Cataldi show inspired me to post this. They asked fans to call in with their rituals. I thought it was interesting because as I was listening I was "preparing" for tonight's game. I made sure my little guy, Aidan was wearing his Hamels shirt. He wanted to wear his fav. player's shirt(Ryan Howard) but tough kid, Hamels wins every time he wears his shirt. The kids will eat their nightime snack out of the little baseball hats that we saved from the games. Ya know the ones you get icecream in? Sound stupid? They didn't have snack on Sunday night and look what happened. The Phillies banner is out, the red lights are installed and on. I know I shouldn't be burning excess energy but it worked to clinch the division. And everytime Shane Victorino is up I do a little hula dance. Why do you think he's been so clutch? I'm doing my part-what's yours?

Phils and Mets fans.. R U READY?

Tonight at CBP will be a barnburning throwdown between the NLE rivals Phillies and Mets. And what better than a Hamels vs. Santana showdown. Phils fans , we'll be missing Rollins tonight, for sure, but if a certain Mets fan forgets to shave,LOL, everything's gonna be all right.

So get your favorite jersey on and enjoy an AWESOME weekend of baseball!!! GO PHILS!!!

Eagles Jr. Combine

Change of pace here Birds fans......

I just wanna give props to the Eagles Kids Club organization for the Jr. Combine that was held at the Novacare Complex.Children from the ages of 5-12 participated in football drills with some of the Eagles coaching staff on the indoor field that actual Eagles players practice on.

They had a nice little lunch for the kids, gave them a t-shirt and a goodie bag.Swoop made an appearance, as well as a few chearleaders( I think that was more for the Dads, lol).

To top it all off, JR Reed came in for a little q&a session. He answered questions from " Who is your favorite player on the team?" to " Do you hate TO? "Out of the mouths of babes. He then participated in the obstacle course with the kids. And I mean participated! He was throwing, tackling and completely horsing around with each and every kid.He also autographed a football for the children.Total CLASS ACT!

This will be a day that my children won't soon forget. They still have ear to ear smiles! Thank you Eagles Kids Club. This is what it's ALL about!

of course, now I have to buy 2 Reed jerseys...................lol................

Eagles Fans-Remember the Last Time We Made a Splash in FA?

I'll never forget the phonecall from my husband telling me we just signed T.O. and the Freak. There was no doubt in our minds that we were headed to the superbowl.

What have we done since then? No splash, no true starters. And where are we now? Has our FO learned a lesson? Will they abandon the idea that the system is superior to the players in the system?I can only pray that some of these rumors of going after Samuel and Fitzgerald, etc have some validity. We ,as fans, deserve it. McNabb, Dawk,Runyan and Westbrook deserve it.

My wish for all Eagles fans that by this time tomorrow you will either receive or make a phone call to someone you love and say-" We just signed Samuel and Fitzgerald-We're going to the MFN SUPERBOWL!!!!" Can't wait to hear from ya!

What Are You Doing For The Superbowl?

All over the country, people are asking that question to each other.Being a Die Hard Eagles fan I find it extemely hard to be enthusiastic about the whole thing. I have noone to root for. The Patriots are included on my short list of teams I despise. Of course because they beat my team in the Superbowl, but also because everything that has played out since then. Are they really that good or do they benefit from years of cheating? If something is too good to be true..it usually is.But an "upside" to them winning is I witness history and Giants lose. But the other side to that is the NFC is WAY overdue for a Championship and having NFC pride, that would be okay. And the Patriots lose.So to answer my own question....I'll eat the traditional wings and drink the traditional beer and root for Injuries! Damn Brett Favre.
