The only way I can start off this post is to simply say...Fuck Clay Bennett. That guy absolutely destroyed a city's beloved basketball franchise and continually lied to the entire city and even had the balls to lie straight to David Stern. Are you serious? There is absolutely no way that Seattle should be allowed to move, he lied to Stern (numerous times) and lied to the people and now there's proof. Stern NEEDS to react with a harsh punishment to this, what I would love to happen is a solid F you to Clay Bennett and let the people have their team back. If I were Oklahoma City now...I would want absolutely NO part in this franchise. A once highly respected franchise has been ruined by some dirt bag asshole named Clay Bennett. I have been against this move to Oklahoma City from the beginning and now against it more than ever. There's GOT TO be some way that Seattle can get SOME justice from this. They can't go out like this. The NBA should not let Bennett shove his foot up every single Seattle SuperSonics fans' asses and let him skip town. It's bullshit. And this is all coming from a guy who lives on the other side of the US...if this news pisses off a Philly fan, it should DEFINITELY piss off David Stern. And if it doesn't piss off Stern as much as it did me, I will consider becoming an NBA widow. Clay Bennett is completely killing the NBA for me, because I know there's hundreds of Clay Bennett dick squeezers out there who would just as much love to move the Sixers to some random city for no good reason. I can only end this e-mail one way...Fuck Clay Bennett.

Don't get me wrong, I want Asante Samuels as much as the next philly fan; but, I've been hearing that Asante made a verbal agreement with the Saints. This could very well be true; the Saints desperately need help with their secondary. But, I think the Saints are cheap bastards (they traded stallworth for a the grade A bum that is, Mark Simoneau) so I don't know if they're willing to put up that much money for asante. Then again...the eagles are cheap bastards too, but I think we're getting into the mode that the Pats got into last offseason, the "fuck our morals, let's just get some players who can take us to the bowl" mode (atleast I'm hoping we're getting into that mode). But if all the Asante rumors turn out to be false or we just can't pay the money Asante wants (100 mill, 10 years) we need to atleast get someone else in that secondary (Juselio Hanson ain't cuttin' it). My suggestion is a veteran corner who's got playoff expierence, Ty Law. Word is he's going to get cut (see the ESPN link) and I think we should pick him up, not as a first priority but he would work with us. I know he's old but I think he's got atleast two years left in the tank, one year definately. The only concern I'd have is that Ty might think he's got five years left in the tank and ask for a shitload more money than we're willing to give him, but I think he knows his time as a 10-interceptions-in-one-season days are over and won't ask for an insane amount of money. But Ty in a birds jersey would be a good thing to see.
