So the mystery of why
Shawn Andrews hasn't been in camp is solved. Shawn was suffering from depression. Meanwhile, during his absence, fans, media, and even teammates have been ragging on him and dragging his name through the mud. It just goes to show that people still don't understand that a man's life is more important than sports. Yes,
Shawn Andrews gets paid a ton of money to play a game. The thing is, he is still human. Just because someone makes a large sum of money playing a sport doesn't mean that he's not entitled to go through the same ups and downs as a person that regular people go through. Depression is a tough thing to deal with, and it shouldn't be taken lightly. I'm GLAD he didn't come to camp in that state. It could have been disastrous for not only Shawn, but for his team. For those of you saying he just wanted to skip camp, why don't you look at some other big name players that aren't in camp, and their reasons. Steven Jackson? Oh, he wants more money. Ryan Grant? He just reported, but he wasn't there because of money. Enough with this "He just didn't want to go to camp" crap. He's a human being going through a tough time, and he deserves our support and our compassion, not the bile you've been spewing at him. That goes for you, too,
Jon Runyan. You're a hell of a player, but get the facts before you go running your mouth.
