I believe the perfect formula to bring a championship to philly is this. Eagles for starters dont trade Lito. There are many reasons for this. If you dont trade Lito the Eagles have to be considered one of the deepest secondarys in the league. It rare to have two starting pro browl cornerbacks on a team, plus your nickel back Sheldon can also play Safty in some packages.By trading Lito it washes out the Samuel signing. Your only paying Lito 3 Mill this year. Just tell him no hard feelings if you want more money you have to play at least 12 games this season and we will talk negotiation. We dont need anymore draft picks. We have 11 this year if anything we should try and trade some because the front office knows they wont have the money to pay everyone that gets drafted. They would just more wastfull picks.
Heres the strategy:
These are the Eagles picks this year
Round (No.) Notes
1 (19)
2 (49)
3 (80)
4 (115)
4 (131) Compensatory Pick
5 (152)
6 (184)
6 (191) Acquired from Cleveland
6 (200) Compensatory Pick
6 (203) Compensatory Pick
7 (224) Traded to Buffalo
7 (230) Acquired from Seattle
The Eagles should keep the 19th pick and draft on offensive tackle. I feel this way because both Thomas and Runyan are old and are in the last years of their contracts. We need depth at that position. Then I would trade
Darren Howard,
Sean Considine, or Matt Shoball or two of the three (all would starters on other teams) along with two 6th round picks and 4th rounder with a team thats in the high second round like a Miami, Atlanta or Oakland; teams that are rebuilding and need more picks. And if they dont bite throw in a next years third rounder. With that first second round pick take a big reciver
Limas Sweed Malcom Kelly, Jamed Hardy or
Devin Thomas. For our second second round pick draft a safty for be the heir apparant to Dawkins. In the third round then draft a return man. Either the kid from Applachian State who runs a 4.27 40 or if hes not there i would draft that running back Johnson. Hes capable of being another Westbrook. Think by doing this you would have two starting pro browl cornerbacks,a pro bowl caliber nickel back in Sheldon, Dawkins, Quinton Mikel; and the heir apparant to Dawkins. You get your offensive tackle to replace either Runyan or Thomas. You get your big physical reciver. Which is the playmaker Donovan needs in the red zone. You get your return man that you so desperatly need. And you still have 3 picks left. Thats everything you need for a championship here in philly. DO THIS IF YOU WANNA WIN A SUPER BOWL.
