Sheppard and Westbrook

Ok so today the hated Dallas Cowboys gave both Marion Barber and Terrance Newman brand new huge contracts. They are keeping their best young running back and a solid number one corner for a long time now. My question is why don't the Eagles ever do the same? Westbrook is more than deserving of getting a new contract, and in order to keep sheppard happy, and when healthy one of the top corners in the league it all but makes sense. The difference.... The Iggles rarely will renegotiate contracts with players that are currently under contract other than McNabb and correct if I am wrong they haven't given anyone else a big deal while under contract. I think this is stupid, as much as i hate to say it I would have handled the T.O situation a little differently and looked at his production and fixed his contract a little for him, westbrook, dawkins, trotter at the time all deserved new contracts and the refuse to negotiate with them. I hate Jerry Jones but he is willing to resign is top players in order to win a championship.

Why is there always controversy?

Why does it seem with the Eagles that there is always some kind of controversy going on? I mean i understand these things happens and it is a business but this team lately has had alot of issues. Lito and Sheldon both aren't happy, Sheldon if Lito stays and Lito if he isn't getting paid or traded. McNabb although he hasn't said it and he won't can't be happy going into the season with the same weapons he had last year(so to speak, hopefully Jackson will help) and a healthier offense. And Westbrook DESERVES a new contract and that is on his mind. Does anyone else see all this drama hurting this team? I mean in a perfect world all these guys would be happy, but let's be honest the cornerback position is crowded and it seems that none of these guys have been sat down and talked to about the situation. Westbrook won't say anything but he deserves his pay day and McNabb has deserved a weapon for 8 years now.

KEEP LITO UNLESS..........

I say we keep lito unless we can package him into a deal that makes us better.IF we could get a WR like ocho cinco, roy or quan i would package him, but I am not trading him for a third round pick. Keep him unless you get a wr

Jason Taylor?

Do you think the Eagles are willing if no offense linemen fall into their lap to trade their number 19 pick for jason taylor? This could make sense if we could also get their round two pick and swap with ours. If we can't get a WR I would definetly consider this trade.

Walker is NOW GONe

Javon Walker can now be taking off the Eagles list... this is too bad because now the Eagles are really running out of options.. although I wouldn't necessary pay Walker that money after his knee situation it makes you wonder what the Eagles are thinking
