I dunno, it could be me i guess but it seems like nobody talks about how great it's gonna be seeing Favre continue to play, and this is coming from a die-hard, green blood-gushing birds fan. All i hear is how this situation is so annoying and he should just make up his mind and that he's too old. I just think that he is what is so great about football and he should be allowed to play for as long as he wants. Thanks

Thats what I'm hoping the case will be come september. I'm praying that Mcnabb will not be anything like the Mcnabb one year and some change ago when we we're all scratching our heads thinking, "why is he playing right now? shouldn't he be sitting out the first couple games?" But thats beside the point, I guess dmac was just like, "coach i'm ready to play, the leg is fine" and andy probably said, "ok donovan, it's your team." And we all know what happened. But now that's the past and it's a new year and donnie's in full health. In a perfect world, mcnabb will not be the same, he'll be a martian and bring us home a trophy. On the dark side, he could get hurt again, or we could be 8-8 again and he'll have a subpar season and that'll be it. But that would suck because any self-respecting eagles fan has much love and much respect for Don and I sure as hell dont wanna see him go out like that. So please donovan, our lord and savior, please hover down to the field from your spacecraft and blow the field up. And if you have to light a flame thrower under reggie brown's ass then please do so.

If I'm wrong, then tell me how. Ok yeah, he's still got time. But does anyone out there really think the bengals will be winning a championship any time soon? And yes, he could always be traded. But team's very rarely let go of blue-chip, franchise quarterbacks. So this is what I'm saying, Carson Palmer will indeed be this generation's Dan Marino and that really sucks because even though I am an eagles fan, I am/was a fan of both dan marino and carson palmer and it's a shame. The NFL Network launched a "32 teams in 32 days" series in which analysts would go into depth about each team after reviewing game tape in each "NFL Total Access" episode. So far 10 teams have been analyzed and being the sick football fan that I am, I havent missed one. So, when I heard that the Eagles would be team number 11 for thursday nights show, I got extremely excited. Well it turns out that it was one, really annoying dissapointment, Most of the show was surrounded by the latest bret favre news as well as small segments from around the league (including rudi johnson's car collection). The reason for my anger and frustration is that jamie dukes and rich eisen talked about our team for about two and a half minutes total. Oh and ya, they looked over a couple games this past season for about 30-45 seconds, but again, that was it. It was a complete joke. In every other epsiode, each team was dissected and each analyst would provide key preditions, thoughts and opinions. None of that was done for the eagles or their fans. It was complete bs and i'm pissed that i'm paying 10 dollars a month for my favorite team to be neglected like that. Did anyone else see this? Is anyone else pissed?

Ok so here's two players that I would really like to look into a crystal ball and inquire about. I've been to training camps and I've seen Giles play in limited roles during games and I must say I'm quite impressed. He's huge, he's quick and he's always pissed off. So, my question is, when will he be a starter? Because I know that we got the two big guys on both ends for at least one more year. I also know that andrews, jackson and herremans have enough talent (regardless of last year) to not have to worry about their jobs being questioned. And than lastly, I know that we have some younger guys like justice and young waiting in the wings as well. So this is why I'm a little curious as to when Giles will have his own spot on the line. Will he only be a situational player? Will they slide some dudes over when runyan and thomas are gone? Thats what I need to know, so if anyone has any ideas, please let me know! As for Abiamiri, it's very simple. He was a second round pick last year, so i know that the andy and co. wont let that go to waste, but how? And to what degree? I mean, we dont (as fans) really know much about the kid but we do know JJ and Reid like him and we do know that trent cole can't do everything himself. So once again I ask, what will become of these two young players?? Or am I just being an idiot and the obvious answer is, "we'll just have to wait and see". Thanks guys, go birds.

Ok look, this may mean that I don't have a lot of meaning in my life but I am going fu**ing crazy without football. Or at least some big football news to keep me distracted. I mean, I go on espn nfl and nfl.com and yardbarker and sporting news (you get the point) like 15 times a day because I'm that disgustingly obsessed. And hey, baseball and hockey and basketball are cool, but they're not like football. Football is as great and pure as a newborn child or losing your virginity or seeing braveheart for the first time. And I need it bad, because my hair is falling out over the stress. Is there anyone else out there that feels this burdon weighing heavily down upon them as well? And on a side note, call me crazy, but I think desean jackson is gonna be fu**ing ridiculous in the coming years if not this year!! Who knows, there are always a few rookies that make big things happen EVERY YEAR, why can't desean be one of those guys?? GO BIRDS

It seems as though for now, the eagles won't be going hard after any of the BIG THREE veteran number one receivers. The eagles had a very boring, yet successful draft and managed to squeeze in dynamic kick returner, Desean Jackson. But lito was never dealt. As far as we know, no phone calls were made and we are still left with a huge gaping hole at the number one spot. So as eagles fans, what are we to do? My answer is, nothing, As painful as it is, I think we just need to accept the fact that reggie brown is our number one receiver and his supporting cast, kurtis, westbrook, baskett, avant and g-lew are talented enough weapons for donovan to work with. I honestly thought that we were gonna make a splash yesterday and end up with ocho or roy or boldin. But that didnt happen. I knew it was a long shot anyway but on draft day, you never know. So, lets be happy with what seems to be a huge defensive year for the eagles coming up and hopefullyour receiving corps will step up and surprise everyone, most importantly us die hard bird fans.

It's pretty gay that i'm writing a post about chad johnson because everyone else does but I felt compelled to just write this...if the eagles don't make a play for ocho (which i dont think they will) you better believe that the cowboys or redskins will. So, maybe andy and the FO should think about this. Either we take our chances, stick our balls out there and grab him...or...face him twice a year (or more) for the next 5-6 years. Tell me what you think.

I gotta go with the Bengals. They're helmets alone do it for me. Other honorable mentions: Raiders, Chargers(powder blues), Colts, Texans. So who do you guys like? By the way, I know i didn't mention the eagles, and to be honest, i really liked our old uniform (logo) much better and i've always been bitter that they changed it. So there you go. If that makes me a bad eagles fan then, oh well.

These are the two best rappers alive, so who would win this battle? Also, by the way, Jay-Z is not the best rapper alive, plus he's really gay because he RETIRED and then came back after like 3 days, so those of you who love jay-z, just start ur own post.

3. FS-other than kenny philips, i'm stumped right now because this draft is not very loaded with this position, at least not in the first round

4. DT--man where do i begin, of course ellis or dorsey would be nice but theres plenty to choose from and AR's got a great eye for lineman so whoever he picks is fine with me

5. OT-i really like chris williams and ryan clady, either of those dudes would suffice

6.DE--this is another position that has a lot of talent in the draft, derrick harvey would be my first choice

7.TE--FREDDY DAVIS BABY--NUFF SAID!!

8.CB--jenkins, flowers, cromartie or mckelvin, i guarantee at least one of these dudes will be around at pick 19 and i know it'll be hard to overlook them

9. LB--no one really impresses me at the LB position in this draft but that's ok because we're actually somewhat ok at this postion entering the 2008-09 season

10. FB--your guess is as good as mine!! let's hope jason davis is the answer or glecko

Ok, I don't know if this is true but i was listening to Eskin the other day and he mentioned that not only are the eagles VERY interested in adding a quality cb to their roster through the FIRST ROUND, but are very interested in Brian Brohm and/or the QB for Hawaii (can't remember his name). Has anyone else heard this? Does anyone else think this makes no sense? (i sure as hell don't, why add to positions we're already ok at? especially with the resigning of hanson) Or do any of you feel that another CB or QB would be genius? And please, please don't say you think Kolb will suck, because NONE OF US know anything about this kid, regardless of what we've seen him do in college and pre-season. Thanks!
