Dog Brothers Fight Club

I saw these guys on National Geographic, and had to share it all with you. Stick fighting, thin masks, and hockey gloves. Oh, and no rules. They have a gathering once a year where anyone can fight. Just pick someone you want to go at it with, ask them, and if they say yes it is on!

Mavericks 2008

The 2008 contest is over, and the champion is California native Greg Long. The purse of $75k was awarded to him, but this year came with a twist. When out in the water, the guys in the final heat agreed to split the winnings, no matter who pulled it off. So Long took $30k for his 40+ ft wave.

The surfing community witnessed another record payday as Bede Durbidge captured the title at the Billabong Pipeline Mastes.

The 24 year old Aussie takes home the Vans Triple Crown of Surfing Title with this win at Oahu's North Shore, the combo putting $75K in Durbidge's bank account.
