By Leo Adam Biga for VolleyballMag Jordan Larson chose not to play volleyball this season. And with the Paris Olympics drawing near, the USA Volleyball star is unapologetically self-reflective as she prepares for the last stage of a legacy-making career.
At this point, jet lag isn’t a big deal for Jordan Larson. After helping the USA qualify for the Paris 2024 Olympics with a victory Sunday over Germany in Lodz, Poland, Larson didn’t sleep before catching flights from Warsaw to Munich to Chicago to Omaha on Monday.
Annie Drews played like a woman possessed. And now her USA team — which gold in the Tokyo 2021 Olympics — possesses a spot in the Paris 2024 Olympics. The Americans lost the first set Sunday, then Drews entered the match, the they stormed to a 24-26, 25-21, 25-9, 25-16 victory in Lodz, Poland, in the Road to Paris Volleyball Qualifier.

In the two weeks since our last report, the NCAA volleyball coaching carousel has been spinning. A couple of indoor teams have head coaches, another has a vacancy, two beach programs announced head coaches, and, to the surprise of probably no one, Olympian Jordan Larson is going to join the Nebraska staff as its third assistant.
Three-time Olympian Jordan Larson will return to Nebraska to be a full-time assistant. Larson was team captain and named MVP for the U.S. team that won its first Olympic gold medal in Tokyo in 2021.
