The Storm, the 2010 WNBA Champions, 16-18 in the regular season, consists of several returning stars including Olympic gold medalist, Sue Bird, and three-time WNBA MVP Lauren Jackson. Jackson missed much of the regular season while training with the Australian national team to prepare for the London Olympics. Jackson played in just nine games for the Storm averaging 10.2 points per game. Bird, the most consistent player on the 12-woman roster, averaged 12.2 points, 5.3 assists, and 2.9 rebounds per game.
The Lynx are the reining WNBA Champions and own this season’s best record, 27-7. Returning stars include last season’s Rookie of the Year Maya Moore, 2011 WNBA Finals MVP Seimone Augustus, assist-maker Lindsay Whalen, and top rebounder Rebekkah Brunson.
