The 2013 WWE SummerSlam buyrate is in and the WWE can’t be happy. According to F4WOnline.com, the event garnered 298,000 worldwide buys. As far as a breakdown, 186,000 buys came from the United States, Canada, and Puerto Rico while 112,000 buys were international.
This is down over 50,000 buys from last years event which had 350,000 worldwide buys and was the most successful SummerSlam since 2008. That show broke down to 264,000 North American buys but just 86,000 international.
This year’s event rates in line with the 2011 SummerSlam which did 180,000 North American buys and 131,000 international buys for a total of 311,000. That event was headlined by CM Punk vs. John Cena with Triple H as referee and Randy Orton vs. Christian.
