Before the Iron Sheik became the notorious and hated professional wrestling villain known as the Iron Sheik, the man who created the dastardly character was actually an accomplished amateur wrestler. Born Hossein Khosrow Ali Vaziri, the Iron Sheik was a member of the Iranian Olympic Greco Roman team at the 1968 Summer Olympics. Khosrow emigrated to the United States and actually was an assistant coach for the United States wrestling team at the 1972 Olympics in Munich.
So, it should come as no surprise that a man as opinionated and oratorically volatile as the Iron Sheik would have something harsh to say about the International Olympics Committee’s announcement on Tuesday that it has recommended dropping wrestling from the Summer Games beginning in 2020.
Thankfully, TMZ got in contact with the Iron Sheik, and as alluded to above, the man is not pleased with the recent developments.

“After 1,000 years they take away the best sport in the world? This is the first time the dumb motherf**kers have no balls for they make the walking an Olympic sport.
“If I see anybody on the street that work from the IOC I swear to the Jesus I suplex them put them in camel clutch break their back make them humble.”
“The #TEAMSHEIKIE respect the Olympic now they can all go f**k themselves and make the Curling Olympic sport because they all the biggest piece of no good s**t and I never watch the Olympic again. Also buy my t shirt [on my website] or go f**k yourself.”
Yes! Iron Sheik busts out his trademark “make them humble” line. Classic.
And how about the plug about buying his shirt on his website? Brilliant entrepreneurial sense on that Iron Sheik.
