- In a recent JRSBARBQ.com blog update, Jim Ross discussed whether he would be calling Wrestlemania. He said:
“Been asked dozens of times if I’m broadcasting at WrestleMania 28. The honest answer is that I don’t know. I don’t find it newsworthy that I ‘want’ to broadcast WrestleMania because anyone in WWE who does any job in connection with the event and who doesn’t want to be a part of WrestleMania should be future endeavored. That would be the equivalent of a NFL player NOT wanting to play in the Super Bowl. WrestleMania remains very special to me and I will be in Miami for WrestleMania week and will enjoy every minute of the experience no matter what I do. ”

CM Punk then Tweeted:
“I want @JRsBBQ to call wrestlemania.”

On Daniel Bryan’s position, JR wrote:
“For the record, informed fans who feel that Daniel Bryan is inadequate as World Champion in WWE have more than likely never had their ass whipped by a smaller guy. I can say this, on college campuses around the country and where amateur wrestling exists, the football players usually want nothing to do with the wrestlers especially the smaller wrestlers who carry enhanced chips on their shoulders.”

- Considering Chris Jericho has a tour with Fozzy scheduled for later this year, there’s a strong possibility that he won’t be sticking around much longer after May. This is probably one of the reasons why they ended up not choosing Jericho to win the Rumble.

Triple H was a big supporter of Sheamus getting the win.

- The little girl who was afraid of Big Show at the Royal Rumble, when he tried to give her his hat, was actually Randy Orton’s daughter. She’d never met him prior to the event, but Show could be heard saying “I know who your daddy is.”

- It appears the plan to have Goludst vs Cody Rhodes on PPV has been scrapped. Originally the pair wanted to tie it up at Wrestlemania, but it was then pushed back to the Elimination Chamber because the company didn’t think it was important enough.

With Cody now added to the Elimination Chamber match itself it seems the idea has been shelved. At least for the time being.
