- During an interview with SLAM! Wrestling, former WWE star Bobby Lashley said he would like to return to the company at some point.

“I’m completely open to going back, I would love to come back and do something big if there was an opportunity presented, I would definitely consider it,” he said. “While I would do it, if the chance never came my way then I would be completely content in continuing with what I’m doing at the moment and that’s continuing wrestling and trying to become the best possible fighter I can be.”

“…there’s still something’s to accomplish in WWE.”

At the moment Lashley has a 3 year commitment with the “Shark Fights” MMA promotion, where he’s the current Heavyweight Champion.

- During an interview with TimesUnion.com TNA star Kurt Angle said he would work for free in TNA if his Olympic commitments infringe on his contractual obligations.

“If I don’t hit a certain number of (appearances), I’ll make it up the next year. And if I don’t hit enough that year, I’ll work the fourth year for free. They’ve been very good to me and I’m very loyal to them. They want me to go for it. They’re not giving me this time off to sit on my ass.”

On giving the Olympics another go, Angle responded: “People think I’m a little nuts.”

- During an interview with the UK’s Power Slam Magazine, Jim Cornette said he feared for the WWE when McMahon is no longer able to run things.

“Nobody’s qualified to replace McMahon,” says Cornette. “Vince is one of a kind, a guy who will never come along again.”

Triple H was promoted to Executive Senior Advisor in 2010, and has already had authority over several TV tapings and shows. He was one of the main voices that brought in Sin Cara and pushed for a refocus on the lighter-weight talent. Ultimately he will replace Vince.

“Triple H is a student of the business, but he’s still got his own little quirks. He’s Vince’s son-in-law, and he’s being groomed for the spot because he thinks in large part like Vince McMahon in terms of what a star is supposed to look like: a jacked-up bodybuilder. So, some things are not going to change. He’s probably going to bring a more youthful approach to it, although [Triple H is] in his early 40s. So, he’s not exactly youthful—but Vince is 66.”

Although many backstage feel Triple H actually gets it, and may even bring a more entertaining product when he takes over, Cornette is still skeptical.

“Nobody’s qualified to replace Vince. [Triple H] might do an okay job. But, personally, I think General Patton [Vince] passes on, I think they’re in trouble. [WWE is] always going to exist because they have a lot of money in the bank and they’ve grown into such a global company, but I don’t think there’s going to be any giant ground broken or revolutionary things done after Vince is gone.”

Cornette currently works as Executive Producer of ROH’s on SBG TV show.

- During an appearance on the Alex Jones show yesterday wrestling legend and former Governor of Minnesota Jesse Ventura gave his official endorsement to Ron Paul for President. He made the point that Paul is the only candidate that will bring the troops home and stay true to the constitution on all of his policies. Currently Paul has 51% of all troop donations, beating all other candidates.

Despite their support for the troops on WWE programming, Linda and Vince McMahon have pledged their support to Mitt Romney, who only has 6% of troop donations.
