WWE(R) Signs Deal with BALTIJOS TV for Lithuania
LONDON, Feb 08, 2012 (BUSINESS WIRE) — WWE and BALTIJOS TV (BTV) today announced a television distribution deal that will bring WWE’s flagship weekly television program, WWE Raw(R), to Lithuania.
Under this new agreement, a one-hour international version of WWE Raw will be available immediately in one million Lithuanian households every Friday at 10:30 p.m.
- Recently released FCW star Alex Koslov discussed his departure on Twitter. He wrote:
“It is true. I have been granted free agent-ism. John (Laurinaitis) confused me when he used a variation of his infamous ‘future endeavored’ line.”
No specific reason has been given for any of the releases. It is known that Koslov is a solid worker who was even tasked to help train Sin Cara, so it is somewhat of a surprise.
- Jim Ross was recently asked on Twitter if he’d like to see a bout between Cody Rhodes and Goldust. He replied “Yes but see it as a long shot.”
As we previously reported the company first rejected the idea for Wrestlemania and pushed it back to a possibility at the Elimination Chamber. With Cody in the Chamber match, the bout won’t be taking place any time soon.
- The Rock joked (or did he?) about a future Presidential run during an interview with Reuters. He said:
“Right now the best way that I can impact the world is through entertainment. One day, and that day will come, I can impact the world through politics. The great news is that I am American, therefore I can become President. But don’t forget: I am G.I. Joe.”
- Speaking of politics Linda McMahon is currently leading top republican candidate Chris Shays, but Democratic candidate Chris Murphy is currently leading McMahon by 9 points and former Secretary of the State Susan Bysiewicz leads McMahon by 3 points.
