WWE looking at networks for NXT?: According to Jim Ross WWE are looking to air the NXT developmental show on a national network alongside other WWE programming. Currently the show only airs internationally and locally in Florida. The original rationale was that the show should only be localized because it’s a testing ground for future stars and does not represent the wider product. For whatever reason the company have changed their minds. Effectively this would redefine what it means to be in developmental. A lower card star that wrestles on Superstars for example would be getting just as much exposure as the rookies. ____________________________________________________________ Impact rating rises: This week’s episode of TNA Impact Wrestling Spike TV drew a 1.02 rating, with an average audience of 1.352 million viewers. This is up slightly from the previous week’s 1.01 number. The show was headlined by Sting and Bully Ray taking on the Aces and Eights, with Hulk Hogan only making it to ramp at the end after being attacked backstage. ____________________________________________________________ Ricardo Rodriquez Tweets Glenn Beck: It’s not just Jack Swagger and Zeb Colter calling out political commentator Glenn Beck, Ricardo Rodriquez has been targeting him on Twitter… “Hey @GlennBeck let’s do a little debate on a show that people actually watch unlike yours!!! I’ll bring the Vicks in case you need to cry” “It’s cool @GlennBeck ! I’ll go easy on you, I know how sensitive you are. “I’m already booked”?! Huevos! Yeah sure, buddy!” “This is probably the most people have riled up for @glennbeck! You’re welcomed for being famous again burro ! #ignorance” Despite a written invitation and video message from Swagger and Colter, Beck has turned down the offer to appear on Raw. ____________________________________________________________ Foley thanks fans for DVD cover comments: 2013 Class WWE Hall of Famer Mick Foley thanked fans on Twitter for the positive response to the cover for his upcoming DVD… “Wow, thanks for the incredible enthusiasm surrounding the new DVD cover. I’m usually my own toughest critic, but @WWE has really gone above and beyond with this bad boy.” Here it is for those that missed it… Foley continued…“A few years ago, they started dramatically increasing the time and effort that goes into these productions, and it’s really apparent here. It just blows the A&E Biography piece away – and the extras are just great; stuff that anyone who really likes me will want to have in their collection. So many interviews with people who played a pivotal role in my life and career, including Terry Funk, Dominec DeNucci, Shane Douglas, Arn Anderson, Michael Hayes, Mike Rotunda, Vader (you’ll love the Vader/Cactus stuff) Kevin Sullivan, @HeymanHustle, @TheRock, family members, childhood friends, and some of today’s top superstars. The on-sale date in the US is April 16th, and April 22 in the UK. I will make sure to give you all the pre-sale and sale info as it comes to me.”
