To honor WWE superstar, Randy "Macho Man" Savage, a petition has been created which would hopefully make May 20th [the day which Savage died on in 2011] a national holiday.According to Savage's brother Lanny Poffo, fans have created the petition over on Mandatory.com which is asking the government to to make May 20th an official holiday.. "Day of Remembrance" The petition reads, "Macho Man Randy Savage was a national treasure loved by everyone... no matter if you knew him from Slim Jim commercials or his wrestling career, you felt a deep connection with Savage... keep in his legacy alive for future generations to appreciate and enjoy." The group needs 100,000 signatures by April 4 in order to get President Obama to review the petition, but thus far, the group has as little over 3,000 signatures [including Randy's brother]. Macho's brother Lanny Poffo says that he couldn't be more happier the fans want to honor his bro that way and he's all for it. "The fans will never let Randy die. He made it cool to love wrestling," Poffo said.
