- From Steven Muehlhausen:
I have conducted an interview with John Cena at the Chicago Comic Con. Here is what Cena said about The Rock, who has stated his intentions to return at The Royal Rumble to face whomever the WWE Champion is.
Cena on The Rock: “I think about Wrestlemania every single day, whether is for the WWE Championship or not. I would like another shot to face The Rock.”

I also interviewed CM Punk, who had the following to say about The Rock’s planned return:
“I think it’s fantastic since he’s getting a title shot against me if I last that long. It’s nice to be vocally against somebody who’s just being handed things and then being the roadblock. Obviously, I was very vocal about Dwayne just marching in and getting to cherry-pick what days he shows up when he actually wants to be motivated to work and now he’s going to be in the ring with me. There’s no bringing 30 percent and there’s no days off. It’s me, it’s 100 percent me and it’s going to be a challenge for Dwayne.”
- Vince McMahon is said to be so upset with Roddy Piper’s performance on Raw that he’s nixed plans to have legends featured weekly. Michael Cole’s comment during Piper’s Pit that the segment was “starting to stink” was undoubtedly something screamed at him to say by Vince through the headset.
The original plan was to create a new version of the “legend’s contract” and have a number of stars on call for on air segments. The idea was to keep older fans amused with nostalgia to ride out the PG Era.
