McGuinness confirms reason for retiring: Nigel McGuinness finally confirmed the reason for his retirement in his self-produced documentary The Last of McGuinness. The former ROH and TNA star was put on to the shelf because no major wrestling company thought he was fit enough to compete, and he did not want to settle for anything less. The reason WWE failed to sign him was because he didn’t pass the medical. Nigel’s biceps were deemed too injury prone due to suffering bad tears in ROH. It was long suspected that he also contracted Hepatitis during his TNA run. It was confirmed in the film that TNA released him because he had Hepatitis B (rather than the suspected C). Although he could technically work Indys McGuinness doesn’t think it’s financially viable or worth putting himself at risk any longer; bookings are also likely to be diminished due to the Hepatitis. ________________________________________________________________________________ Cody Rhodes back training: WWE star Cody Rhodes noted on Twitter that he’s back training following injuries he sustained at the November 13, 2012, Main Event taping. “Eyes are cold and restless…wounds are almost healed……training camp on the road Day1″, wrote the former IC champ.
