WWE want Lesnar for another year: The Wrestling Observer is reporting that WWE have offered Brock Lesnar a new contract for when his current deal expires after Wrestlemania. As previously reported Lesnar’s decision to re-sign will likely affect the outcome of his match at the mega event; the company are unlikely to put him over if he’s not going to stick around. It’s believed the new deal is essentially a one year extension, paying the former UFC Champ several million to take part in a couple of PPVs and the TV shows building up to those events. It’s not yet clear who Lesnar will face at Wrestlemania, but the Undertaker and Triple H have been under consideration. ___________________________________________________________ TNA files for dismissal of lawsuit against WWE: Nashville, TN – TNA Wrestling gave and were granted notice of voluntary dismissal over the lawsuit they filed against WWE on Wednesday. The company stated that terms had been reached by all parties and they agreed to drop the litigation. TNA filed the lawsuit in May 2012, alleging former office employee Brian Wittenstein provided WWE with confidential information about wrestler contracts, which could have been used to poach talent. Thus WWE chose to hold off on the signing of Ric Flair and did not pursue several other stars, including Matt Morgan. ___________________________________________________________ Ric Flair booked for future Raw and SmackDown: WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair is scheduled to appear on the January 21st Raw from San Jose, California and the January 22nd SmackDown tapings from Sacramento. Although the end goal is to sign the Nature Boy to a contract, as of now he’s working on a per appearance deal. Now that TNA’s lawsuit has been dropped, contract negotiations are likely to recommence. As previously reported the company have considered using Flair in a GM role and as a manager for his daughter, who is in WWE developmental. ___________________________________________________________ Mick Foley wants Terry Funk to do the honors: 2013 WWE Hall of Fame inductee Mick Foley revealed on Twitter that he wants fellow Hardcore Legend Terry Funk to induct him. Foley wrote: “In a landslide, Terry Funk seems to be the #1 choice for my @WWE HOF induction. Other favorites were Undertaker, The Rock, Edge & Al Snow.” This year’s ceremony takes place on April 6, 2013 from Madison Square Garden in New York City.
