The first time I saw the Road Warriors, I have to admit, I was a little scared. Having known wrestling as a “show” of holds and counter holds, strength and resistance, the sight of two men coming to the ring to Iron Man and branding spiked shoulder pads and face paint, they were as bad a badass tag team that there could be.
It’s hard to do that when you are living in Ric Flair’s world and there is no possible chance of a long run as the NWA or WCW World Heavyweight Champion. So, in the interest of success and the fact Flair was bringing money into the promotion, creative did the best thing it could have for the tall Texan.
If you ask my opinion about the greatest professional wrestler of all time, I will not hesitate and say that Ric Flair is the greatest to ever wear a world title.
