6 Million Viewers For Katie Taylor vs. Amanda Serrano Fight
- Photos and boxing equipment lines the walls of the Cincinnati Golden Gloves for Youth, Monday, March 18, 2024, at Golden Gloves boxing gym in the Over-the-Rhine Recreation Center in Cincinnati. The Cincinnati Golden Gloves for Youth is aiming to move from its Over-the-Rhine home at 1715 Republic St. to the former Elmwood Place Elementary School at 400 Maple St.

The trilogy fight between Katie Taylor and Amanda Serrano drew an average audience of 6 million viewers on Netflix last Friday. This was announced by Most Valuable Promotions. The all-women card was streamed in more than 200 countries. 4.2 of the 6 million viewers were from the United States. It was just behind the views of the NCAA women’s March Madness final (8.5 million) and was the most-watched professional boxing event in 2025.

Katie Taylor vs. Amanda Serrano III

Taylor defeated Serrano by majority decision to end the series up 3-0. Afterwards, they both confirmed it was the last time they would meet in the ring. Taylor even said, “She punches too hard.” The bout took place in front of a sell-out crowd of 19,721 at the world-famous Madison Square Garden in New York City. The live gate was $2.63 million. That is the highest gate ever for a women’s boxing card and the highest gate for a female sporting event at MSG.

The card reached No. 1 on Netflix in the US, Ireland, Australia, and New Zealand, and made the Top 10 in 43 countries. The first battle between the Irish and Puerto Rican legends in April 2022 had 1.5 million streams on DAZN. The rematch was on the Mike Tyson vs. Jake Paul card in November 2024 and was watched by around 50 million households, Netflix said. That bout averaged 74 million live viewers globally and was the most-watched professional women’s sporting event in U.S. history.

Other Fights On the Card

Alycia Baumgardner defeated Jennifer Miranda by unanimous decision to retain her undisputed super featherweight title. Shadasia Green won via split decision against Savannah Marshall to become the unified super middleweight champion, which helped her receive a $250,000 bonus for Performance of the Night. Ellie Scotney defeated Yamileth Mercado by unanimous decision to win the WBC super-bantamweight title and retain her Ring, IBF, and WBO belts.

Final Thoughts

It is amazing to see how far women’s boxing has gone in the past few years. Although he receives criticism on his opponents and reputation, Jake Paul and his Most Valuable Promotions have helped bring the recognition women’s boxing deserves. The next boxing match on Netflix will be Canelo Alvarez vs. Terence Crawford on September 13. It seems that the future of boxing is in the hands of Netflix, and most people are glad to keep their pockets a little heavier.
