Carl Froch has given his assessment on Chris Eubank Jr calling out Canelo.

Canelo defeated Jermell Charlo to retain his WBO, WBC, WBA and IBF belts in Las Vegas at the weekend prompting Eubank Jr. to call out the Mexican on social media.

He posted: “Canelo needs to fight someone who’s going to get in there and put it on his ass.”

“Someone who actually wants to win not just survive, secure a payday and give him a sweet lil hug after. This sh** is getting embarrassing. I don’t want a hug… I want that scalp!”

Well, Carl Froch has given his take on any potential Canelo vs. Eubank Jr. Fight.

Speaking to Best Gambling Sites Froch said:

“Eubank Jr just wants paying, doesn’t he? You can’t put Eubank Jr anywhere near Canelo. It’s a mismatch.”

He added: “Eubank got blown away by Liam Smith, how will he deal with the size and strength of Canelo? And then the experience… he’s just not going to be able to do it.

“Canelo is an absolute ferocious fighting machine. He’s ridiculously experienced at world level.

“The only times Chris Eubank Jr stepped into world level he lost twice to Billy Joe Saunders and George Groves, so he can’t step up to Canelo’s level. It’s Saturday league against Premier League.

“Canelo would smash Eubank to bits, as soon as he gets in range, he’ll absolutely maul him.”
