Anthony Joshua has been offered a new opponent after the prospective Dillian Whyte rematch fell through.

Joshua looks set to box again in August and is looking for an opponent. It was looking likely that he would face old foe Dillian Whyte but now it could be Jarrell Miller.

The British heavyweights met in December of 2015 with ‘AJ’ scoring a seventh round KO.

Speaking to Sky Sports Whyte believed Joshua wouldn’t risk fighting him ahead of a huge Deontay Wilder clash. He said,

“I don’t think that they’re serious about the fight. They’re worrying about the fight and I don’t blame them. If he’s going to get £50m to fight Wilder in Saudi in December it just baffles me. Why would they take a chance fighting me?

“It doesn’t make sense. So I’m not surprised to be honest.”

But with Whyte out of the equation, Jarrell Miller, is set to be offered as a replacement opponent.

Miller’s promoter Dmitriy Salita has confirmed he is going to put forward his fighter as a potential opponent for Joshua.

The pair have history and were due to fight in 2019 but the American failed a drug test.

Famously, Andy Ruiz Jr stepped in and defeated the Brit in a huge upset.
