There were no scale fails in Glasgow, Scotland, as welterweights Josh Taylor (19-2, 13 KOs) and his opponent Ekow Essuman (21-1, 8 KOs) both came underneath the welterweight limit of 147 pounds on Friday morning.

Saturday’s fight on DAZN will mark Taylor’s debut in the welterweight division as he looks to make his way up the rankings and compete for a title. Essuman looks to ruin all those plans as the 36-year-old looks for his first world title opportunity before retiring. Which version of Taylor shows up on Saturday is the million-dollar question, but Taylor won his first fight fairly easily, which was against the scale on Friday morning.
