Liverpool have recalled fullback Owen Beck from his loan spell at League One outfit Bolton Wanderers.

The defender joined the Whites in August and had been expected to see out the remainder of the 2022/23 season at the University of Bolton Stadium. However, after making just four appearances in the Football League for Ian Evatt's side, the Reds have exercised a clause in the deal to recall the defender.

Beck, who is the great-nephew of Anfield icon Ian Rush, started the season at Primeira Liga side Famalicao but that agreement was cancelled just weeks later as the opportunity to join Bolton was understood to be better suited to the 20-year.

The defender is the seventh Liverpool loanee to be recalled this month with Max Woltman, James Balagizi, Rhys Williams, Fidel O'Rourke, Jakub Ojrzynsk and Billy Koumetio all suffering a similar fate.
