On May 3, Queensberry Promotions announced the signing of former undisputed light-welterweight champion Chantelle Cameron, who recently became a free agent after being released by Matchroom Boxing. The second signing by Frank Warren was announced as Prince Nassem Hamed’s son Aadam Hamed.

Queensberry Promotions Announce Double Signing

Chantelle Cameron

Cameron has experienced changes in her boxing career since losing the rematch to Katie Taylor. In addition to moving promotional stables, she has also split from trainer Jamie Moore.

It was clear from the press conference that Cameron is frustrated but excited to get her career moving again: “I feel like I just want to bite everyone’s head off,” Cameron said.

She continued: “Anyone that’s in my way I am coming for them, I am going to get my belts back one way or another.” Cameron became the unified champion when she defeated Jessica McCaskill in 2022. A trilogy with Taylor had been rumoured, but the Irish fighter will now be taking on Amanda Serrano on the undercard of Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson.

The Taylor trilogy appears very much on the table, with Frank Warren speaking on the possible third fight: “In this new age of co-operation why not, we’re all best mates,” Warren said. “I’m sure we can get it over the line. I don’t see why not.”

Aadam Hamed

Hamed is the son of the legendary former world champion Prince Naseem Hamed. The promising young fighter made his professional debut in August last year on the undercard of Oleksandr Usyk v Daniel Dubois, which saw him score a first-round TKO victory against Vojtech Hrdy.

Discussing his aims for the future, he said: “I want to be respected for Aadam Hamed rather than being respected for Naz’s boy, make my own legacy and be my own man.”  He continued: “I take this serious. Sooner or later you’re going to find out.”
