Former NHL enforcer Georges Laraque says a fight with Mike Tyson is about 75% of the way to becoming a reality. This is the stuff you see in movies like Rocky Balboa against Thunderlips, who was played by Hulk Hogan in "Rocky III." The difference here is the punches will be real.
Tyson is 54 years old and can still throw the mitts. He comes in at 5-11 and around 225 pounds. Tyson intimidated and annihilated opponents in the ring to the tune of a 50-6 record with 44 knockouts. Here’s a recent clip of Tyson training for his fight against Roy Jones Jr.
Laraque was a premier NHL enforcer and at 43 is 11 years Tyson’s junior. He comes in at 6-3 and 250 pounds with 131 ice tilts under his belt. Here’s Laraque at work.
Laraque is bigger and heavier than Tyson. He is not, however, the baddest man on the planet. Fighting in hockey is a whole different animal than fighting in the squared circle, and you'd have to believe the former heavyweight champ will have his way with the former NHL enforcer.
